I don't know why people think Croyle is more accurate than Huard...

From what we saw today, his passes were sailing...but he does have a friggin' cannon.

Still, I think opposing coaches could gameplan against Croyle's 1 read mindset and we could see Croyle have Ryan Leaf type games ESPECIALLY when we can't run the friggin' ball.

I give points to Hootie for being able to maintain the consistant comment style he has on this thread. He is clearly out of his HootiePatootie, but the mans a master at slinging that which he knows zero about and proves that seeing a football game is not the same as understanding the game.

So rootie tootie HootiePatootie. Hang in there. The storm of bad rep you may create shall be that of legend.

Oh...Damon called and said you left your sock under the couch.

As for Hooties boy-toy Damon Huard, I'm personally tired of him consistantly not going through his progressions and dumping it off to the FB/HB all the time. His passes are rarely accurate. Bowe and Gonzalez both had to make great plays just to catch the damn ball. Huard threw two passes that I saw that were good, accurate passes which were clearly to our players and not the defense.

My Vote was for Croyle. Not some limp noodle arm, that can't handle pressure.

I have news for you. Huard will never get any respect from me. He throws inaccurately, he fumbles too much, and makes piss-poor reads. Those are not good things to have in a QB. The young guy can perform five yard patterns to his check down guy, I have no doubts of it.

And I have said all along since the beginning of the season, Huard will have more INT's than TD's. That seems to be proving me correct. There's a reason why he was a 3rd stringer at one point in New England.

So, that being said, get your face off of Damon's cock, and open your ****ing eyes, and try to at least understand why Damon sucks, period. JFC, I'd rather have Jake Plummer over Damon Huard, and even that's not much of a improvement.

Yeah, Croyle was throwing against 4 man fronts, who also happened to be getting pressure. That also mean he was throwing against SEVEN DBs ,yet he completed pass after pass, including a TD. Remind me again how many TD passes Huard had today...

Let's not forget that our best playmaker at the moment, Dwayne Bowe, went almost entirely un-utilized by Huard. That's inexcusable.

I really can't stop laughing about "He looked WAY MORE TIMID than Huard did" - that could possibly be the single most ludicrous thing I've read on the internet this year. He was comfortable, poised, and in control. He was very calm in the pocket - he stepped up when pressure dictated, actually went through a full progression of reads, and made quick decisions. He showed the ability to get out of the pocket when needed, and threw a great pass, on the run, 35 yards downfield, against a defense designed to protect the sideline. Huard couldn't dream of making that throw.

Almost as ludicrous is "Croyle makes his read before he even snaps the ball". This is actual proof that you know nothing about football - that is Damon Huard in a nutshell. Why do you think he gets so many balls batted down at the LOS?

You truly are clueless. Your unfounded pro-Huardism has gone beyond laughable, and landed firmly in "sad" territory. I almost feel sorry for you. Almost.
QB's always tear up defenses in prevent...all the time. The TD pass was meaningless...the Jaguars had already won. Whoopdeedoo...

Everyone was waiting for the Chiefs to lose so they could blame it all on Damon Huard.

It wasn't on Damon today...that's for sure.

His passes were sailing becuase he was throwing the ball away. The one thing you should look for is the one where he made a nice escape from the rush and the throw to Bowe.

That's the kind of moves that Horrid can't do.

Opposing coaches are already gameplanning aganist Horrid's 1 read mindset too as well. What's the difference anyways?

Croyle's 1 trick pony?

Have you watched Huard at all? He can't throw a pass to the flat for Chocolate Jesus sake. Hell, he telegraphs his passes enough that Sammy Knight almost rode his rascal scooter over for a pic.

If it weren't for circus catches by 82 and 88.......and negative yardage passes to the back and bigfoot....his numbers would be lower a raider fan's reading level.

what about the ball Croyle threw that was batted into the end zone...

On replay, he was throwing that right to LJ who was blanketed by a defensive guy, shit, LJ wasn't even looking for the ball...

If Croyle's play today sold you on the fact he is a better QB than Damon Huard...then, yikes! Because, really...he's going to struggle and have a LOT of turnovers...

You can use that prevent defense excuse all you want, but it is what it is - Brodie can't control the situation he's given. Twice, Croyle has come in to relieve an "injured" Huard. Twice, Croyle has moved the team at will. Twice, the entire offense seemed to come alive with Croyle in the huddle.

Let's not forget that Croyle drove the team to a TD today. Once you're in the red zone, there is no more "prevent" - the defense has run out of field. He completed a long pass, on the run, at the sideline - which the "prevent" is designed to prevent. He scored a TD against 7 DBs. Writing off what he did today "because of prevent defense" is incredibly short-sighted.

Well...

Neither Huard or Croyle are going to win many games with our rushing attack...

Our team is suppose to be built around LJ, and when LJ is getting 9 carries for 12 yards we have some MAJOR problems that are not QB related...

Even after today, the horrible running, the terrible blocking, Ty Law eating a sandwich during plays, completely being dominated....

...we're a 1/2 game out of first.

Gotta love the West.
