Inglourious Basterds

Just watched it and I highly recommend it, a lot of very strong characters that are acted out well, and as usual very nice dialogues from QT..I felt this one was a bit more comical than his other stuff..

I especially liked the part where they killed the Nat-Zees.

Pitt was awesome so was the dude that played Landa.

Must see movie. A high quality of movie as there is being made in todays summer blockbuster or nothing approach of Hollywood.

Pitt should get an Oscar. He is a funny guy.

QT was on his game for this movie. Who else can make an actress putting on makeup or putting whupped cream on strudel art?

Where does he find these actors? A bunch of good performances in this film.

Where do you suppose Aldo got his neck scar. I mean I know it was from a hanging but why was he hung? I read that it's kinda like the Briefcase in Pulp Fiction it's just never been or will be explained. I kinda like to think it's a nod to Eastwood in Hang em High.

That was my thought as well. QT does that frequently, too.

I dont know about you all but I remember some of the soundtracks that Tarantino used in this movie being used in older war movies.

REALLY!!!! Spoiler Heavy Site!!

Again REALLY Spoiler heavy site!!!

But down at the bottom it gives the soundtrack information. I had just watched Kelly's Heroes with Clint Eastwood and Telly Sivalas a couple nights ago. It is cool to pick up things from the film that directors put into it as an homage to older films.

Also The SS "Jew Hunter" Hans Landa was very well cast. From how he works in the House to what he does to Shoshanna at the "dessert table". It's like he is always 1 step ahead and wants to see people twist in the wind.

Very good overall flick and I would pay to see it again.

Shit, you're right - that music was from Kelly's Heroes. I mistakenly identified as being from Dirty Dozen earlier in the thread.

He even added in clips from obscure flicks like the David Bowie theme to the 80's flick Cat People. and a weird sound clip from the old 80's flick The Entity.

There was not a bad actor in this flick. From top to bottom it was great. My wife and I loved this movie, I'd watch it again right now.

I thought it was really funny too, go see it just for Brad Pitt's performance, he's great.

It is a good movie for sure.

My only complaints are a little to much jaw jacking. And not enough Brad Pitt and his buddies killing the Nazis through out the movie, which i had expected.
