When I said I would be OK with taking Eugene Monroe at #3

all I heard was that you don't take a right tackle that high. Does everyone still feel that way now that our franchise QB is a punching bag?

If interior and ORTs were so easy to come by, why does "genius" Pioli not have JACK to show for year 1 save a TRYOUT PLAYER?
And Tom Brady was drafted in the 6th round. Are you going to tell me that QBs are that easy to come by?

The reason Pioli doesn't have to jack to show for o-line depth is that the Chiefs have almost never in the last ten years used a 2nd-4th round pick on an o-lineman. And this year was no exception.

Indeed. Pittsburgh Steelers during Bradshaw. Washington Redskins Jacoby, Grimm, Bostic, May and (Starke, Theilman, Lachey etc.). Recent Chief OLs that were good tended to stay healthy. Rams when Pace was great stayed healthy the whole year. Dallas Cowboys mid 1990s. Most teams suffer OL injuries during the year. The great OLs suffer LESS.

This is hilarious. Because the Chief OL Pioli inherited just sukks means Pioli was right to ignore it, or something like that...

Good grief. For every one OT the caliber of Monroe there are a dozen players like Keisel and Tyson Jackson.

The problem isn't that the Oline wasn't addressed with the 3rd pick, it's that it wasn't addressed in FA or the mid round picks.

The best option was to trade down and take a RT where it's a better value. They tried to do that and nobody bit, so they went BPA. Which is the right move.

Yeah just forget about Drafting any Defensive players, we have been such a dominant defensive team we shouldn't worry about it

I won't rail on the Jackson pick you don't take a OT top 5 to play RT...

But I will rail on taking guys like Donald Washington and Colin Brown..Washington while nice value wasn't really a good pick since the Chiefs don't have a problem at CB.

Actually, you have no factual information that they actually tried to trade down.

I don't have a problem with the Tyson Jackson pick. Pioli needed to rebuild this defense and Jackson appears to be a beast.

I have a problem with drafting Magee. IMO, one or the other, not both. I also have a problem with Washington (Carr, Flowers & Leggett don't cut it? Puhleese) and Colin Brown.

Colin ****ING Brown.

This... even if you bust on a O-line pick in that round, at least your bringing in some competition, the lack of depth on this O-line is beyond awful

You can't be serious. Who do you think the Patriots value more? Richard Seymour? Or Nick Kaczur?

A 3-4 DE is basically a 4-3 DT. Many DTs are taken every year in the top 10. RTs are rarely ever taken in the top 10, unless they were LTs who failed to make it as LTs.

A 3-4 DE > 4-3 RT. That's not me speaking. That's NFL draft history speaking.

Yeah, the Chiefs should drop $30 million dollars on one player, just to bring in some competition.

WTF is going on this offseason?

If you take Donald Washington and Colin Brown off this team and add Duke Robinson and Jamon Meredith are the Chiefs in a better position? I'd say yes.
