3-3 after six games.

I am going to post this now, because I think there will be a lot of optimism following the Raiders game.

I have watched the Ravens game a few times. The more I watch it, the better I feel about this team.

The Chiefs will win against the Raiders. Not just win, but be in control of the game.

Basically, Oakland's offense is not balanced enough to stretch the Chiefs defense like last week.

Now, that is just one win.... after which we go to Philly, then have the Giants at home, then the Cowboys and then the Redskins.

So, with those quality teams, how can I predict the Chiefs winning two of them.

Okay, well lets look at the Eagles first. The Eagles looked great against Carolina. But, that was after Delhome shat himself. He began to hold the ball longer as the game went along. I don't think the defense is 'that' good.

The Eagles like to bring the blitz alot, but are not huge up front. I think the Chiefs can get the run game going. I don't think McNabb will be back and I think the Eagles will try to work Vick in too much. It will be a detriment to the offense.

Chiefs have a much better shot at that game than if they had McNabb.

Even still, I am predicting this as a loss.

Next up is the Giants at home. As much as I would like to spin this as a win.... I can't. The Giants are a great team. The Chiefs put up a good fight because it is at home, but I can't see them pulling this game out.

So, loss again. So far I am not looking too good.

Luckily.... we have the Cowboys coming in. The Cowboys will be playing their second straight road game. It will be a high scoring game. But the Chiefs will pull it out as the Cowboys look towards their bye week and take the Chiefs lightly.

So, looking a little better at 2-3.

Next up: Washington Redskins. Chiefs catch the Skins in between two conference games. The game before is Carolina. But, more importantly, the game the following week is Philly.

Chiefs won't put up a ton of points, but won't allow many either. Luckily Clinton Portis is on the tail end of his career and NOT playing behing a great Broncos line.

Campbell won't get it done in front of the home crowd and the Chiefs pull out the victory.

.......

Or, the Chiefs could be 0-6..... WTF do I know, I thought Sanchez was Pennington at best and he pulls a freaking Joe Montana in Houston (exageration intended)

I think 3-3 is definitely doable. I say we beat Oakland, Philly (Vick factor), Washington.

Guess that's why I said...

And, no, I'm not a scout or a coach or a player, so unless I wanted to go back and focus on specific players, why would I want to watch that game again? So I can start overanalyzing and seeing things that weren't there?
Thats a fair statement considering your not interested in breaking down a game. Usually people dont just go back to watch a game for "specific" players. Usually its to see what your team did wrong in certain circumstances. And to see what they could do better to improve upon. No, your opinion wont matter to the Chiefs. But its still fun IMO to go back and break it down. I see why someone would want to do this. You just need to have the right mindset to WANT to do it.

How so? I downloaded the game and only watched the first 3 quarters and I thought the Ravens did whatever they wanted against KC.

They made Flacco (a QB who threw just as many TD's as INT's last year) look like an All Pro. Flacco had all day to throw and his WR's were always open.

The Ravens don't have a lot of talent at the skill positions on offense and they moved the ball easily.

Take away a fluke blocked punt and a bad pass by Flacco and the Ravens would have won 48-10

Way to bail him out. He didn't say that. He pointed to Portis' stats as a Redskin.

The fact is he has been effective, but not nearly as effective as he was as a Bronco.... which was my point.

Now, as far the Redskins..... I agree with what they will try to do.... I don't think they pass early and I think the Chiefs will be able to control the LOS better and get the Skins off the field early in the game.

Dogfight.... but again, they have the Eagles in the game after us.... and the Panthers before us. I just expect a bit of a let down.

Dude.....I'm agreeing with you that the Redskins are the one of the 2 NFC East teams that we have a chance to beat. I'm just saying....you can't compare him to when he was with the Broncos....that shit was 5 ****ing years ago.

Agreed... as I said, he is OLDER..... but even the following two years with the Redskins are not as good.

I am just giving you shit.... well, because I can. I mean, what else is there to do when I am ignoring the large stack of work on my desk....lol.

Anyways... I am just trying to stir the pot a little. I am sick of the pessimistic attitudes.

Yeah, the Chiefs migh go 4-12... but I don't have to expect that at this point. I can expect more and then be greatly dissapointed later... I mean, I have done it for the last 20 years.... why stop now?

But, what fun is it to predict something that everyone else is predicting?

Besides, this board is so negative all the time, the homers merely balance it out a little.

And, predicting 0-16 or even 2-14 isn't 'realistic'..... it is pessimistic. Just like 3-3 is optimistic.
Eh, I used to do the same thing, so I respond to threads like this because I don't take it seriously. I have hope for the Chiefs, but it's all down the road.... at least 2 or 3 years down the road.

Well, I have to actually get back to work.... especially since I am driving up to KC to watch the Chiefs kill the Raiders....okay, okay.... eeek out a win against the Faiders.

Oh, and I have to think the Chiefs are going to win, or convince myself of it....otherwise making a 12 hour drive to watch my team lose sucks. I've know, I've done it.... A lot it seems over the last two years and in the playoffs.

No worries. Jessica is on a diet and will be back to humping form before the Chiefs meet up with the Cowboys. She should be shagging the mojo out of Romo the week leading up to the game. Jessica = Chiefs' win.
