Herm hatred Rep thread

After hearing the morans going on and on about the pugilistic skills of the coaching mind of said Herman Edwards, I'd like to offer free positive rep to everyone that can manage to articulate their true loathing of what Herm has done to this proud organization.

Please don't hold back, I'd love to run out of rep today but I promise any reasonable effort to convey their disgust will be met with positive rep even if it takes a couple of days to recharge it.

I think this will be a great posterity thread to look back on in the weeks, months and years ahead to fully remember where you where mentally when the events were still fairly fresh in our minds. I'll love to read this about 10 years from now. Or at least in 2012 before the Mayans get us.

Herm was the quintessential catalyst for mediocrity, he achieved this fabled title by asking nothing more than friendship from each of his players. His players loved the cuddly Herm for this reason, because after getting crushed on the field they could always find the loving arms of Herm after the game. In his comforting arms he would soothe their sorrows with a coddling "It's okay!"

This bred mentality of mediocrity will only leave this team after a seemingly interminable year, (Or two) of ass-kickings on sundays and the practice field.

Herm was the worst coach hire in 25 years. Rick Vineteri may have had the worst record at 2-17, but Herm destroyed *two* franchises back to back. He destroyed the Jets (That were a playoff caliber team when he inherited them) AND destroyed the Chiefs.

Eric Mangini is now challenging to do the same feat with the Browns. JoPo has named him the worst hire in 25 years, but JoPo always had a soft spot for Herm. I think it was pity more than anything.

Here's JoPo's list of the worst coaching hires of recent vintage. How Herm is missing from this list is inexplicable. Maybe he just didn't want to be seen bashing the town he came from, other than the quick reference to the fact that we have a terrible team. Gee, who was responsible for that?

Here's JoPo's piece for SI:

Give me a break.

The Jets would have been a fine team if Mangini didn't rely exclusively on Pennington and they didn't move to a 4-3.

The Chiefs were a wreck after 2005 regardless of who was coach due to 5 years of really horrendous moves by the front office.

Herm made some poor coaching decisions. But to say he destroyed the two teams he coached is completely ridiculous. And to say he's one of the worst of all times is gross exaggeration.
