Clearly. Roethlisberger is just a game manager.

LOL

Hope for the best.

Cassel’s availability will come down to whether he can move well after the procedure. If he plays, the affected area will likely be very well padded. But if Cassel can move and withstand getting hit, he may be able to play.

... unless there is a setback, Cassel will be given the chance to start and see how he can deal with the pain. The Chiefs have the No. 1 ranked run offense in the NFL, and they may have to rely on it even more against the Chargers, who gave up 251 yards on the ground in a loss to Oakland on Sunday.

I have a feeling Croyle will be fine. I just have a gut feeling. The passing game may even be better. He might not be as good of game manager though. But I just have a good feeling about it.

810 just had a doctor on that said given his profession he would be extremely surprised if he was back before 4 weeks. Would have an extremely high risk of hernia, abcess, etc. So I believe the phrase is "we be ****ed."

Good thing for all the Brokie fans is they get to show everyone how right they were and how dumb everyone else has been. Guess we'll see.......wtf can we all do other than say go Brody!?!

We finally get a young developing QB that is playing at a near Pro Bowl and we're 2 games up in the division and we don't lose our QB to a football injury...........but to a ****in appendectomy!

Only to KC sports fans!

I'm dead serious, if Cassel is out four weeks for a laparoscopic appendectomy, his next appointment will need to be with a gynecologist.

I don't think this is the end of the world for the Chiefs. You guys have a solid defense and a sick running game that allows you to keep the pressure off of Croyle for however long he is in. As some of you have said, this news is a lot easier to take with Weis running the offense. It's not like your're the chiefs of the past few years.

However, if he does take a few games, and Croyle is terrible, I hope he makes it back for week 17 so we can beat your best.

"A doctor" knows nothing about the case. Unless it was HIS doctor. Every procedure goes differently, every patient has their own complications, their own healing speed, their own pain tolerance. Sure, there's a very good chance (probably 99%) he's "Out" for his week. After that, no one will know for a while. Football players (hell, all athletes) have a tough profession, but they also have top-notch medical staffs, high pain tolerances, thicker muscle walls, etc.,. Look at Rapelisberger and Favre this season. I watched Drew Bledsoe play with pins in his throwing hand fingers. Curt Schilling had his ankle sewn up and went out and pitched.
