My Daughter Maybe Just Helped Save A Classmate's Life.
So I'm sitting here ****ing around on Chiefs Planet, trolling the Manning freaks, arguing about racism and occasionally dipping into DC. You know. Highly important stuff. My daughter just texted me. She's sixteen, in 11th grade. She says a kid had a seizure in class. She grabbed her cell and called 911 immediately. The kid looks to be OK, he was carried out on a stretcher. I told her that I was very proud of her and that, of course, I would be posting this on Chiefs Planet.

OK, I just picked up my teenagers and here is the story:

She's sitting in Shop class and everyone is using high stools, slightly above waist height. Suddenly emo boy (Jose) fell over backwards off of his stool and began groaning. He began to twitch and someone yelled out "Seizure!", so other students rushed up to him. She hung back, grabbed her cell out and called it in to 911. Someone yelled out "Call 911!" and she yelled back "I got it." Then the teacher sent everyone out of the room.

Strangely enough, some of the boys had been working on a solar powered radio, so the class listened to that outside where it had been set up. "If I could read your mind" by Gordan Lightfoot, which she recognized.

The ambulance arrived, the paramedics rushed in. As they carried the boy past the students he looked at them and gave an emo hair flip signifying that he was OK.

When I was a senior in high school, my first class in the morning was Chemistry. It was like the third day and we were being shown some stupid bullshit by the bunsen burners. So everyone is walking over and I notice this one shy Sophomore girl just standing near her seat. She looks likes she's getting really nervous.

She started convulsing on her feet and started falling down. I ran as fast as I could and caught her before she hit the ground. I yelled for help from everyone else and I took off my thick jacket and rolled it and put it under her head while people were with her, then I ran to the nurses office and got them to come back.

I dropped the class like a week later. The girl didn't even remember what happened.

Congrats on having a daughter who was quick thinking and didnt panic!

I'm sure she will be thanked by all involved then shortly after a 3 day cell phone suspension.
If its anything like my kids school they are blind to so many bad things going on in school and the truly bad kids get away with stuff left and right..but that A student saving a life had a CELL PHONE on her!?!?! Take her away!

Apparently in the confusion no one thought to even bother her about it, and she slipped it back into her coat immediately after calling.
