Yup, all important, but I'd give the edge to memorial day as to the most important. I think of friends I've made over the years that are no longer here to enjoy the day off by the pool with family because they died in another country. And the sevice members before my time that spilled their blood in time of war.

I'm a vet and a service member. Today is not my day. Its for the fallen.

Seems many, even service members, fail to make that distinction.

And quite frankly, I don't understand why we need to. Regardless of what branch anyone served, whether it was wartime, peacetime, or you lived, died or were injured, you're all equally important when it comes to protecting our freedom, and you've all made some degree of sacrifice in doing so.

That's my opinion anyway. I'm sure some will disagree.

I like that there is a distinction. A day for the fallen, memorial day is most sombering to me personally. Veterans day is a day of humble pride for my own accomplishments. Armed forces day is almost like a birthday celebration.

But there is nothing wrong with your opinion bug. Nothing at all.

Same goes for anyone who's donned a police uniform or fireman's outfit, IMO. While not quite as risky as soldiering, any job where you wake up in the morning and realize today might be the day you die is a job that's commendable.
