Sac's Easy 4 Step Process for the Chiefs

1. Bob Sutton has to go.

- The defense, despite having a shit ton of talent, has folded in the second half of far too many games. The Colts playoff game was not an outlier. His scheme sucks. Guy calls two brilliant blitzes a game, but otherwise his defense has repeatedly failed at the most critical times.

I'd fire Sutton now, elevate Tommy Brasher to Interm Defensive Coordinator right now, and then hire Gus Bradley (if he gets fired from Jacksonville) or Utah's Kyle Whittingham at the end of the season for the position. You'll pay a lot for either, but they are the best at either level (pros/college) in setting up a defense.

2. Alex Smith needs to be benched right now.

- His confidence is shot and he's making poor throws and decisions with the ball. Daniel needs to start this weekend to give this team a shot in the arm. After that, if Smith gets his head back in the game, they can put him back in or, preferably, start Murray. He's been in the system for two years now and it's time to see if he can play in this league. The rest of the season should be about finding out if any of these three guys should be on the roster in 2016.

3. Reid needs to give up play calling duties.

- This can happen at the end of this season. Hire a new offensive coordinator who is capable of moving the offense forward, a la Mike McCarthy in Green Bay. Players like Reid - a lot. He motivates them and gets them to buy into the concept. But he makes bad game time calls that have cost this team. He needs to be a head coach versus a coordinator and head coach.

If Steve Sarkisian is dried out by the end of the season, he'd be my guy. He's very creative offensively and has been very successful in building high level working offenses quickly. He'll be under a smaller microscope in Kansas City but he'll be fresh off the humiliation of his current situation and trying to redeem himself in the eyes of the sport. Good possible canidate for future head coach.

4. A new QB in the 2016 Draft

- Dorsey uses a veritable army of scouts, the latest analysis technology, etc. He needs to put all of those resources to work starting yesterday to make sure that they pick the best QB for the team in the 2016 draft. Fine tooth comb the position and spend that first round pick on getting the guy that they target. No more pussyfooting around with the position. Just do it. And if that guy ends up sucking, do it again in 2017. They can also spend a third/fourth rounder on another QB in 2016 just to make sure. But they have to do this right now. For the team, for the fans.

I think we're all pretty much in agreement on steps 1-3 of the OP. I'm going to differ right now with the OP on step 4. Playing Daniel proves nothing, so let's see what we have in Murray. If he sucks, draft a QB. If he doesn't, let's not waste a 1st on what appears to be a pretty weak QB class. Developmental QBs in the next draft can be had in later rounds.

Firing Reid at this point doesn't do anything but appease the villagers with pitchforks. This season is lost, end of story. You know it, I know it, and Clark knows it. There isn't anyone that can turn this ship around.

And Reid isn't going anywhere, nor should he. He has till the end of next season barring complete collapse to show his stuff.

Those that will be led to the guoillotine first will be Andy's playcalling, Sutton, Heck, Alex and then maybe Andy goes if next year if he finishes below .500. Pretty much in that order is my guess.

Here's the thing.

I was pretty adamant this past off season with the opinion that holding onto Chase Daniel was a waste of a roster spot.

He was pretty much an Alex Smith mini me as a QB, so I didn't give a rat's ass about his experience, which was the argument for keeping him.

In the preseason, however, I saw a completely different QB that I had seen in his previous preseason exposure, and his two regular season games against against the Chargers in the regular season.

It is not out of the question that Chase Daniel grew and progressed into an actual NFL calibre QB, and I would actually find out what he is before letting him walk.

If his presreason turns out to be a mirage, then you draft a QB next year, and let Murray, Bray and the drafted rookie battle it out.

Reid has show his '"stuff" more than we need to see in the future.

He was at the top of his game on Thursday night for Denver.

Everyone got to see that "stuff" in all its glory.. The fat **** isn't changing nor is he leading this franchise anywhere. Soon the better.

The only thing wrong I see with playing Daniel is that he's a FA at the end of the year. If he does well, can we pony up the money to keep him and still take the cap hit for Smith? We have other potential FAs that warrant a raise. My contention is that Murray played just as well in preseason when the staff opened up the playbook for him.

No Patriots.

I don't care how many reeruns on this forum pine for Haley and say, "Pioli wasn't so bad, he just had an attitude problem. He's calmed down I'll bet!"

Unless we're getting the SOURCE of the Patriot success (Tom Brady) I want none of their shit.

I would trust Andy getting us a QB in the draft based on prior experience in Philly...

However, Andy's biggest problem is playcalling. The only way I would even consider keeping him is by him giving up playcalling duties. And that won't happen.

That's why We need a change
