I said the same exact thing to someone at work the other day (a dude who didn’t give a shit...at all...I was just spouting because the dude is extremely quiet and will just sit there and try to listen to anything...it was pretty funny).

I spent 3 hours earlier that day compiling current WR stats and was floored by Fitz’s. I knew he had put up good numbers over his career, but holy shit...the guy has 110 TD’s and 1251 receptions for 15,721 yards. Yeah that dude is a lock... and I said the same thing to this mute I work with.... he’s gonna stay around and try to pad the stats at this point.

For 2 seconds? absolutely, get it done

The only real question, is if we actually do switch to a 4-3 and play a lot more zone... is he as valuable in zone, as he is in press man?

Here is where Fitz is currently sitting in TD’s:

1 Jerry Rice+ 197 1985-2004
2 Randy Moss+ 156 1998-2012
3 Terrell Owens+ 153 1996-2010
4 Cris Carter+ 130 1987-2002
5 Marvin Harrison+ 128 1996-2008
6 Antonio Gates 115 2003-2018
7 Tony Gonzalez 111 1997-2013
8 Larry Fitzgerald 110 2004-2018

I’m guessing he will be top 6 for sure by the time he’s done...if he sticks around, top 4.

This is where he is currently sitting for receiving yards:

Rank Player Yds Years Tm
1 Jerry Rice+ 22,895 1985-2004
2 Terrell Owens+ 15,934 1996-2010
3 Larry Fitzgerald 15,721 2004-2018
4 Randy Moss+ 15,292 1998-2012
5 Isaac Bruce 15,208 1994-2009

He’s gonna be #2...

Guy is a lock.

I agree with this.

We're probably about to see our corners play fine tonight and the defense get shredded by poor tight end coverage and running backs catching balls out of the backfield. PP helps neither of these situations.

You’re gonna need a corner or two next year also. It’s not just for this season that he’d help.

It’s a true number one corner on a good deal for the next 3 years

I say that Veach should offer a 4th this year and a 2nd next year. Isn't that the going rate for a young probowl corner??

I agree that CB is not the problem, but adding an all pro talent anywhere on the field would be a big boost. Peterson can basically shrink the field, giving the scrubs less ground to cover.
