Choked...it's that simple
At least for the 1st half of the AFCCG the Chiefs choked all the way around. Offensively, defensively, you name it. The only good play was an INT to save a TD.

The defense is getting worked...
The offense is getting worked...

Mahomes is flat out choking...

Play calling has been weak...

We had a chance to tie it at 7 and instead we end up down by 14

From coaching to Mahomes to Berry to what ever...

Just now thawing out but there were so many things that lost this game - not just one thing.

I’m disappointed, but so happy that I got the chance to share this night with my Son. Got to get a new DC with some balls that is t afraid to put a little pressure on Brady. He surgically dissected us on those last 2 drives. That’s inexcusable to not put a little pressure on him.

I can think of 10 or 15 different areas where the Pats dominated us. It really was insane.

That said they still had to come back on us in the 4th quarter to win this game.

We have work to do but not all that far to go...

I hated the gameplan. It felt like every pass play Mahomes was waiting for guys to get 30 yards downfield every time and he rarely had time to do that. Where were all of the inventive ways to get the ball in the hands of your play makers they showed throughout the entire season? It's like the game is too big for Reid.

We only ran the ball 10 times.

Why?

With all the attention Hill and Kelcee were getting we should have run the ball ourselves. Asking our 1st year QB to go out and save the world with almost no help is a bad plan.

They tried to run the ball early. When you run the ball and play ball control, your WR's have to catch passes. They stalled out trying to run the ball and got down quickly.

The Patriots were forcing them to do that. That was part of their gameplay. They had at least 8 guys in the box on nearly every play. Played a bunch of cover 1 and mixed in some cover 0.

Mahomes was running for his life because the o line was getting their shit pushed in and Andy waited until halftime to make any adjustments. But yeah Mahomes definitely was choking.

Folks - you can't take a half off and expect to win a conference championship. It's just not realistic.

The Patriots came to play, the Chiefs didn't. Sometimes it happens that way and it OFTEN happens to younger teams in an unfamiliar place.

You have to believe some valuable lessons were learned and next time this won't happen. I don't know how complicated this needs to be made - the Chiefs were going to have to play 60 minutes of solid football to win the game against a tested, veteran Patriots squad led by a couple of HoFers.

They didn't. The end.
