Watched it last night on Netflix. Watching Pacino and Deniro act together was great to see. Scorsese and mob movies are always entertaining. But 3.5+ hours? Netflix should have made this a limited series.

About an hour in. Will have to watch in pieces

Didn’t realize Harvey Keitel was in this too. Scorcese really brought out the all star team lineup.

Yep, even Lois the babysitter has a significant role in this one. Several others from mob related shows from HBO as well.

You coulda' divided it up. That's what we did. The so wanted to see it. I'm not a big mob movie fan. So I didn't care for it at first, but as it proceeded I did like it. It's based on a true story and this Irishman claims he knocked off Hoffa on his deathbed. However, there are others that say his claim is not true.

I couldn't understand how they could take two old men, DeNiro and Pacino making a movie in old age, being able to do flashbacks where they look much younger. So I looked it up and found out their faces were all digitally altered to look younger. Amazing!

I went ahead and started watching it the other night - got nearly halfway through.

I'm not sure if I'll finish it or not. Just feels like been there, done that, with better material, more than once. I mean, how many retreads of the Scorcese/DeNiro/Pesci Lowlife Greaseball Show do we need? After a while it's just like another Jason Bourne movie, with big meals instead of car chases.

It’s definitely slower paced than those other gangster films, but it’s still really, really good.

Ultimately it’s pretty sad. The last half hour or so is about aging and dying alone.
