I am happy about this thread. Make a safe space for the little bitch ass pussies to get together and be scared.

You little heard the sirens go off, felt the first raindrops of the hurricane, and now you're hiding in the basement. Meanwhile, those of us with balls are outside, because we realized the sirens were airhorns and the raindrops were from a wet T-shirt contest.

You down there hidin' and we up here ridin'

Murakami has a quote from one of his books that perfectly explains what it's like to have been a Chiefs fan for the past generation and how it's going to feel when we win a Super Bowl this year.

Quote:
Sometimes fate is like a small sandstorm that keeps changing directions. You change direction but the sandstorm chases you. You turn again, but the storm adjusts. Over and over you play this out, like some ominous dance with death just before dawn. Why? Because this storm isn't something that blew in from far away, something that has nothing to do with you. This storm is you. Something inside of you. So all you can do is give in to it, step right inside the storm, closing your eyes and plugging up your ears so the sand doesn't get in, and walk through it, step by step. There's no sun there, no moon, no direction, no sense of time. Just fine white sand swirling up into the sky like pulverized bones. That's the kind of sandstorm you need to imagine.

An you really will have to make it through that violent, metaphysical, symbolic storm. No matter how metaphysical or symbolic it might be, make no mistake about it: it will cut through flesh like a thousand razor blades. People will bleed there, and you will bleed too. Hot, red blood. You'll catch that blood in your hands, your own blood and the blood of others.

And once the storm is over you won't remember how you made it through, how you managed to survive. You won't even be sure, in fact, whether the storm is really over. But one thing is certain. When you come out of the storm you won't be the same person who walked in. That's what this storm's all about.
Prepare to exit thy storm, my brothers in arms.

If this team had the 1st or even 2nd seed it would be a guarantee.

Winning 4 straight against the best of the best is a lot to ask though. We absolutely can do it, but I’m not getting my hopes up either.

6 of the last 8 Superbowl champs were 3 seed or worse. So it happens.

I didn’t think this sounded accurate....

“Over the last five seasons, all 10 conference championship games have been won by the home team: Nine by 1-seeds, and one by the 2-seeded Falcons in the 2016 season. As a result, four of the last five Super Bowls have been between a 1-seed and a 1-seed, and the fifth was between a 1-seed and a 2-seed.”

This was written last year prior to the CCGs, so add two #2s to the list. The point being in recent history #3 or lower seeds not only rare but non-existent in Super Bowls.

Here’s what I was referencing: http://www.nfl.com/superbowlchamps/seeding

Didn’t realize this page was outdated. Recently yeah it’s been much more skewed towards top seeds.

brave staylor ran away

bravely ran away away

when winning 4 reared it's ugly head
he bold turned his tail and fled

yes sensing doom as huge pussy
he gallantly made drawers messy
