You wrote, "explain some reasons beyond stats why one was better than the other."
Saying the 2019 Kansas City Chiefs is better than the 2018 team, does not have them as an automatic Super Bowl win. The Kansas City Chiefs are better in 2019 but so is the competition. The Baltimore Ravens is one of the best teams I have seen. The Patriots will do whatever it takes to try and win. The Tennessee Titans should not be overlooked. The NFC, all teams look really, really good. It won't be easy, but the Chiefs are good enough that they can win the whole thing. |

This years team seems to be able to win different ways and different types of games. They can win low scoring grind it out games or high scoring affairs.
Last years team could only win one way. Granted it was an all time way |

This should answer this question for you PB...
If the 2018 Patriots team that played us in the AFCCG played us again this Sunday at Arrowhead for a rematch which team do you think would give us a better chance to win? 2018 Chiefs or 2019 Chiefs?

2019 team is better overall than the 2018 team.
2018 team had a better opportunity to win the whole damn thing, due to a down season by several teams. Beat the Pats and we would have hoisted the trophy, almost surely. This year you have another monster in the AFC that wasn’t there last year and 3-4 teams in the NFC that are probably stronger than last years Rams. So, this team is better BUT it will be tougher for them to win a Super Bowl. |

Time will tell. Too early to answer. The D is def better this year but we will see how they do in the playoffs.
The O I think was more explosive last year but you gotta remember the O had Kareem Hunt for most of the year -- in the playoffs he wasn't there. Overall id take this years team due to the D but we'll see how they do. Playoffs are different players play a lot harder. Last edited by PAChiefsGuy; 12-30-2019 at 08:56 PM.. |

You’re the fool for thinking we only had “one chance” with Mahomes

I don’t follow this notion that the NFC is much stronger this year.
Green Bay looks like a very weak 2 seed. Saints are only a little better this year, if at all. This year’s 9ers are no better than last year’s Rams. |
