So the “victim” and the dad don’t seem to say much about what the initial disagreement was about.

Seems like a dick move to try to escalate it into an accusation about selling drugs.

Considering that it is KU football, probably everybody in the story is an asshole, this kid and his family may be just as bad or worse than the other kids.

Considering the KC Star’s recent editorial sanctimony on all things racial, surprising that they are 100% in favor of the white kid from the well-off family.

Seems like the payoff was a generous deal, maybe. The school might be in worse shape to shitcan all the other players just because the kid with the Jag got into some beef that becomes a KC Star story with no real mention as to what started it.

It's hilarious to read these threads the rare times they happen now and think back at how much more emotionally charged I was 15-20 years ago about the rivalry (among others)... and some people just never grow out of that.
