No way....Pacheco will get starting reps with McKinnon for 3rd and long situations. Perine will get more touches than CEH IF he makes the roster

I was reading that the 49ers have had Boss in the Reserve did not report list for weeks. So, he hasn't counted towards the salary cap, or the roster that entire time. So, why hasn't Veach done that with Jones? Free up his cap dollars and bring in a couple of DT vets? It would have put more pressure on Jones to report. Yeah, if he reports then he goes back on the cap. But figure that out if it happens. At least then we had someone getting ready to play.

I'm not a Clyde fan. but Rewatch the games, our starting Oline has been good at pass protect, but on those rush attempts, Walter Payton wouldn't have gotten any yards on most of those carries. When he did have some ok blocking against the Cards on the 2nd series, he had some nice plays.

That's ALWAYS Clyde's problem.

It's like when people said we shouldn't replace Cassel because "Just look at his offensive line! And no receivers either!" That is absolutely true. But eventually you recognize that others are making plays with the same surrounding talent, and you start to lean more into user error being a likely cause for the problems we're having the majority of the time.

Surely it's not just coincidence that CEH has like 2 20 yard runs in his entire career, yeah? Or that he's put up a pretty pathetic YPC since his rookie year.

Good question and I assume they will at some point. Makes sense to do that.

Clyde with a perfectly blocked play = three to seven yards.

That's the high side. He's slow, has heavy feet, lacks vision.
