I don’t think there’s much on his part that was about sportsmanship or wanting to make some positive impression on the two of them because he wants to be a Chief. I think he was just trying to intrude on their moment and be in the middle of something - the spotlight - that had nothing to do with himself.

I don’t know why people would watch how he carried himself in that game and give him the benefit of the doubt. He felt like he was on the verge of imploding for a large portion of that second half.

I saw nobody wearing Bills gear, and nobody I asked had any interest in them. All they cared about was their college team. I assume it's a bit different now, but can it really be that different? This is a small market team that has never enjoyed any real success, unless you count a couple of spurts of high profile leg pissing separated by several decades as success.
Yeah, New York is kinda weird. I lived in NYC for 15 years, left a few years ago after we won our first Super Bowl against the Niners. Didn't spend a ton of time upstate, or anywhere near Buffalo. Worked in Buffalo for a few weeks doing some stunt work on TMNT 2, along with up near Lake Placid for the Dannemora shoot, but that's about it, so my take on anywhere outside of NYC is pretty limited.

But I'd be pretty confident saying at that time, you'd be more likely to find Patriots, Eagles, Cowboys or Steelers fans in NYC than you would Bills fans, though I did know a couple. It makes sense. Buffalo is closer to Detroit, Cleveland and Pittsburgh than it is to NYC, and culturally they couldn't be more different. And as far as college goes, barely anyone in NYC gives two squirts of piss about college sports. I was on my own island in that regard. Though I did get a few buddies recruited as casual Jayhawk fans, so that was fun.

I don't blame Pickens, I would be pissed too about being passed up by the Chiefs and stuck in steeler land with their castoff QB's.

We would murder that team at Arrowhead. Desperately hoping to see them again. Was TJ Watt even on the field?

Honesty, I don't see it.

The guy I assumed Veach wanted was Tyquan Thornton.

Once he went to the Patriots we traded down.

I’ve watched a good bit of their games since he entered the league and that is just the George Pickens experience. He’s good for one or two absurd catches a game where you wonder how he made the grab or got his feet down. He’s also good for a handful mini-meltdowns when something doesn’t go right.

I’m not even giving the guy the benefit of the doubt. I just didn’t see anything to suggest that he has acting out on some nefarious plot.

He dapped them up then walked away. Kelce even yelled something at him as he walked away. Clearly unbothered.

He was lying down on bench while his brother gave him a 3 hour long on-air hand job.

I get that JJ was going to hype him up, but it quickly became a little ridiculous. His confusion as to why he couldn't get past Jawaan Taylor was pretty amusing, though.

Yeah, I see it all as respect. Knowing Pickens, i just wonder if it had “come get me” vibes. And I can’t remember how long this was after the game but kinda feel like at that point he should have been with his teammates

Andy was asked a few years back if he’d ever bring desean when we really needed wr help. He made a rare blunt statement that he basically doesn’t want anyone who doesn’t fit in the locker room. People forget how very badly TO and desean burned him in Philly and you can tell Andy avoids these guys when he can. We’ve brought some of these guys in but only when we have an easy way to cut them

I thought it was a pretty cool move. Showed some respect and possibly a little (come get me).

Pickens is one of the best deep ball guys in the league. Yeah, Id take that.

Folks turning their nose up at Pickens are funny. Here is a list of guys we've drafted, signed or traded for.

Clark
Hunt
Toney
Rice
Gay Jr
Omenihu
Nelson
Bell
Peters
Tyreek
Kelce

And the list goes on. Kelce was suspended In college, had several bone headed incidents in his first three years in the league and has publicly pushed EB and Andy Reid on the sidelines.

Clark, Omenihu and Hill had domestic abuse cases. Gay got suspended for beating up his QB in college. Bell and Nelson had big fall outs with other teams etc etc. And ya'll think Pickens is a problem? I'd sign him with no hesitation because the guy is very good. Fullstop.
