The Netflix Favre Doc is out

They really don't hold back all that much, they have people from every level of his career back to high school talking about what a pile of shit the guy was...

That year was insane. Brett had his best year statistically, iirc. he played some of his best football ever that season. And threw in a bunch of highlight plays in the process. I really thought Favre was going to lead MIN to a SB, finally. probably would've, if not for AP turning the ball over like 5 times.

Same.. used to love the Farve led Packers when the Chiefs were a constant disappointment. I guess what they say about meeting your heros is probably true.

Mahomes reminded of Favre some in 2018. But I’m talking about young run all over the place before you throw it Favre. I was surprised nobody made the comparison that year.

That combined with Mecca liking it. Mecca has his panties in a wad because Brett Favre has too much toxic masculinity for him.

Childress cost the Vikings the #1 seed that year. The dude was terrible.

Harvin was electric before migraines ruined his career. So fast.

I watched it last night and I would rate it OK at best. With that said, it was definitely a hit piece. He definetly played in different times, where QB's got their asses kicked. The one thing I wasn't aware of, is the fact he has Parkinson's.

I think we should obviously absolve him from defrauding the welfare department of millions of dollars, perfectly fine behavior.

If Holmgren's ego didn't get the best of him, the Packers win multiple Super Bowls with that combination. That was Reid/Mahomes before it was a thing. Holmgren was the only one who could keep Favre playing somewhat within the system. Once he was gone, Favre ran the show and he knew it. He never once had another decent coach in his entire career.

The Packers wasted the careers of both him and Rodgers with worthless coaches, but especially Favre. They also gave Favre jack shit for weapons. It's actually amazing he did what he did with what he was given.

He should be celebrated. For once, welfare money went to something useful and beneficial and not Doritos.

Well, Bountygate didn't help matters, either. If Favre wasn't half dead by the time that Saints game ended, they probably still win despite AP.

Really kind of sad, I wanted him to stick it up Green Bay's asses so bad.

Yup. I made that comparison earlier in the thread. Not surprising since Reid learned under Big Mike.

I would run the show too if my franchise installed Rhodes and Sherman.

Bubba Franks was his main tight end in the later years. Favre never had a Holt, Harrison, Moss, etc during those years. He did have Sharpe for the first few years before injuries forced his retirement. Sharpe was electric. He and a prime Favre would have set records.

Ironic, really. Green Bay's previous dynasties (1920s-1930s and Lombardi) were stacked with weapons but the franchise seemingly forgot that lesson.
