The Texans defense has had a couple great additions so far this draft, from Nick Fairley in the first, to Brooks Reed in the second.

It's so bad, though, that it continues to have holes all over its secondary. The team spent a first on Kareem Jackson last year, and while he's not panning out so well, we'll give him another year because the other corner position is horrific.

. So I went with the safer pick, in Brandon Burton.

The Texans select CB Brandon Burton, Utah.

He plays like he's got 4.3 speed. Opposing defenses have avoided him throughout 2010 which speaks to his cover ability. He is also very strong in run support and a willing blitzer in the mold of Javier Arenas. And he comes out of a pretty strong Utah program, which has churned out its share of talented corners.

If you pick him up in the third and let him sit and put on some extra weight and get limited reps his first year, he could still be a very, very good player.
