Just heard on the radio that the chopper did not have a "TAWS"
"terrain analysis WARNING system" or some such thing.
I guess if you have that you get warned there is a mountain in your flight path.

The black box that was recovered may bring some missing info into the light if data is able to be recovered. I bet those investigators already have a pretty good idea of what transpired or several scenarios that need proven just wait for it they always get to the bottom of it.

"We rushed down to see if we could help but there were obviously no survivors," he said.

"My friend called 911 and we stayed there until the fire helicopter came and lowered down a fireman.

"We gave our information to the sheriff's department.

"We didn't realise that Kobe Bryant was in the helicopter until we got back down to the parking lot.

"Just the fact that a whole helicopter full of people crashed was shocking to us."

Agree 100%, this is the point I've been making from the beginning. It just doesn't add up.

And wtf is Kobe doing in a helicopter with no terrain avoidance warning system? In the fog. In mountains. Pilot didn't seem to be under any stress and was able to see while talking to the different towers. I'm certainly no aviation expert, but this whole thing just makes zero sense.

Yeah I’m no expert, but with planes as you lose altitude you pick up airspeed. I’d presume it’s the same way with helicopters. It’s really easy in a plane to get disoriented as **** and not know which the **** way is up. I’d presume that part would be worse in a helicopter because you’re controlling all 3 axis.

Like I said before that’s what happened to the dude from my town. He got ****ed up in the fog and came through the fog headed straight down.

Pure speculation but I can see it happening.
