Using the Super Bowl as our blueprint would be nice if they were missing three starters on their offensive line. We may get some pressure but you can’t expect to generate that kind of pressure. What can you do? Well early in the season teams were playing two high safeties or bracketing Kelce and Hill on 3rd down and trying to force Mahomes to take check downs or make mistakes. Since a bout 5 weeks ago they have figured out how to attack that so that’s probably out the window, so then what do we do?

You cheat. It’s not me being funny I am being 100% serious in that you play press man with two high and you hold like a mother at the line. You use the Legion of Book theory that they won’t call it every time and you essentially frustrate them into either bad throws,a hold assisted turnovers, or you get them into the red zone where you have a chance of holding them to 3. The other thing I do is I don’t match personnel, I play Nickel or lighter personnel and I bait Reid into running. We are thin at linebacker anyways so I play to that and hope I can convince them to run and go for a lower scoring run heavy game where we can steal a possession late.

I definitely don't have discerning taste buds, relative to the number of people who say certain foods or restaurants are terrible... I think the last time I couldn't even finish a meal because it was so bad was a BBQ food truck in LA a couple years ago.

It was next to the Smog City taproom and knew I was taking a chance on it... but damn, it was bad. Some of the tangiest sauce ever, completely drenching fatty burnt ends or mystery meat. And they were bragging about it like it was OK Joe's.

Out of all the amazing food in LA, I figured it would at least be edible, but should have known better.

Edit: For clarification, this is coming from a guy that has spent the better part of the last two decades in SW Louisiana. So, anything looks nice at this point.

this is true....I mentioned in an earlier post that they play Bates single high about 15-25 yards off the ball most of the time, they rarely rush more than 4, and will mix in some 2 high zone looks along the way, but mostly play man.

It all looks like they are trying to keep things in front of them by design, avoid the deep plays (why Bates is so far back all the time), and try to beat you with the front four (which they have some high motor guys in Hendrickson and Hubbard). I think their front four is fairly decent at times to be honest, but overall I don't think they're better than the Browns front four.

Even when they do blitz, the often will drop a DE into coverage in exchange for a LB or DB coming off an edge. While they do bring 5 or 6 occasionally, it is evident they either (a) don't like to do it; or (b) don't want to do it, because it's counter-productive with keeping things in front of them.

Simply put: It seems their style of D that limits the big play, keeps the ball in front of them, and then take advantage of the other team's mistakes along the way. Sound familiar? Well it should, because that's what teams have been trying to do to us all season, albeit the Bengals Like to do it by manning up moreso than 2 deep zone).

I suspect we'll definitely see more zone looks simply because trying to man up on Hill and Kelce is foolish. I also see that they have no issue rushing three....and do it fairly often as well. Of course, this usually comes with some 2 deep zone concepts as well (which probably becomes 3-4 deep because then keep everything in front of them)

I also have seen that only rushing four exposes them to QBs getting outside the pocket often, particularly with an OL like ours that can handle it. I expect Mahomes to be able to get out on the perimeter and do his Mahomes things.

I also believe their LBs are a huge liability, hence the reason TEs tend to feast on them.

I think it will be a long day for them if they try to single high, rush four all day. Will be a rougher day if they 2 deep zone....so really all that is left if for the gals to do exactly what the Bengals guy who Kimosabi quoted said to do.....
