Do any of them actually provide halfway intelligent opinions though?

Not usually but if that were the criteria, 95% of membership would disappear.

You could go full on Aryan master race mode .... forcing members to a mandatory IQ test...granting privileges based on aptitude.

I’m not saying they do. I think purging is a good idea if all they’re here for is dc.
Just commenting that this is the consequence. It becomes an outright right wing forum.

Which is dumb. The right wingers need their villains. Leave this alone, other than maybe requiring login to access the forum.

Purging members because you dont like their opinions is a terrible idea...as long as they abide by rules they agreed to, they deserve the same rights as everyone else.

Is there a rule that says you have to be a sports fan to be a member?

Bunch of Nazis up in here...it's pretty telling about someone when they advocate removing people who dont share their world view. Narcissistic is an understatement..

Agreed. And all they'll do is create new mults. The mods don't need to be chasing them around all the time either.

I should say I’m mostly indifferent on this part. I’m the one commenting that this purge gets rid of almost all dissenting opinions so it has nothing to do with whether I agree with any of these posters. The majority of these users are leftists. I’d much rather dc be much more inviting for diverse opinions than have to rely on users who have no interest in chiefs football. But I’m indifferent to if the mods think purging will help improve the forums quality.

I don’t think it’s healthy for any opinion left of center to be dc only posters. Or that the only way for main forum posters to post any opinion left of center is to get a highly moderated thread in main forum. It means there’s plenty of crossover for right wingers between dc and main forum, but there is zero crossover on the left. It means the board as a whole is more engaging to the right wingers because there’s more stuff to do, and less engaging for leftists because they have topics they don’t feel comfortable discussing or if the board as a whole starts to feel like a right wing message board. I don’t know the solve for it but i don’t think I’m the only one that sees some concern with that
