Oh and Holiday might as well just skip the home stands it seams ........ He is lights out on the road but can't hit at home.

HOME: .158 / .483
AWAY: .423 / 1.291
(Stats listed are batting average and OPS)
Holliday was sick during the home stand with the flu. He's been pretty consistent throughout his career. I don't think we will see him fall off the table.

Hopefully by the time the offense wakes up the pitching is still killing it.
Yeah, you can tell Pujols is not happy with his swing and he is pressing. I've seen him do this for a week to 10 days during the last two seasons. Something finally clicks and he gets back in his groove.

Agree its a negative issue but one that I would think would be solved by October when it really matters.

Yeah, we're 13 games into the season and 9-4. I'm sure in the next 149 they'll work it out.

Yeah 9-4 is only the best record in the National league. This was suppose to be a real hard part to our schedule this year. This was suppose to be the easy part for the Cubs...nice to see some things never change.

And we still haven't even come close to playing to our potential. Lots of room for growth.

We're gonna be seeing some nasty pitching on this road trip.
Tonight Danny Herren and in SF they can match our starting pitching.

If we are a plus 2 on this road trip I'll be one happy camper.

Yeah. But hey, at least Haren makes real money now, so it's really more like Penny and Mulder for Haren because we couldn't have afforded Penny w/ Haren on the books. That sucks slightly less.

Ah hell, I don't even believe that. I hate Mark Mulder more than Herm Edwards and Carl Peterson combined. I hate that apathetic ****er so bad that I'd consider tearing my own leg off just to beat him with it. That sorry sonofabitch is the reason we didn't win 3 consecutive pennants (thanks for that game 6 performance in 2005, you gutless shithead).

And his steady barrage of "I thought I made some good pitches today, they just didn't miss the mistakes I made" after giving up 10 ERs would absolutely F'ing kill me. When he wore a shirt to a post-game interview after yet another asskicking that said "whatever" on it, that encapsulated the Mark Mulder experience. He's a thief and a coward. **** him and his family.

Drew for Wainwright. Drew for Waiwright. Drew for Wainwright...anger subsiding.

Didn't you always get the feeling that Mulder was thinking about what to have for dinner or what club he was going to after the game when he was pitching?

On a related topic I heard Mike Shannon completely blast Mulder on more than one occasion for exactly that, well that and the fact that he was afraid to go inside on a power hitter.

Nah.

Mostly he appeared to be thinking about how to best handle the dogleg on the 6th hole of whatever course he would be playing that afternoon.

I hope the shoulder injury ****ed his golf game up to no end. That wretched puddle of afterbirth cared a hell of a lot more about golf than he did about pitching.

I feel bad for Soren Petro sometimes.

He wants so badly to be a Cardinals fan. He spent the first 5 minutes+ of his segment with Jason Stark slobbering over the Cardinals pitching staff and how Dave Duncan works with guys. Then he spent a few more minutes talking about the 20 inning game.

It's pretty funny to listen to. The man has an actual MLB team in his town (one that fancies itself a Cardinal 'rival') and he's talking Cardinals to the national baseball writer.

This is the worst MFing ballgame I've seen this year, and I've seen some pretty awful ones.

I don't even care if we win, this game is just awful. Bad pitching, bad defense, little situational hitting (just a bunch of HRs). Both squads look like C league softball teams.

It's like 1997 all over again, and that shit sucked.

They should just euthanize Lohse in the dugout. That was some strange combination of Garrett Stephenson's focus and Brett Tomko's intestinal fortitude.

Fire is too good for Lohse. Death by anal fissure is about the only acceptable solution I can come up with. Is it too soon to make jokes about hitching a ride with Josh Hancock?

What the hell has happened to Loshe? Garcia needs to be moved to the #4 slot.

And what the hell is up with Ludwick on the bases? Jeezz falling for the fake throw to 3rd? I've not seen that work in years.
