Considering the utter stupidity of the people that post on that forum, I'm surprised that anyone of them can even afford Internet access, let alone, have jobs.

And bashing Kansas City because of its open spaces and greenery? Have any of those ****balls realize that they live in a destitute shithole called Queens?

Who in their right mind would *choose* to live in ****ing Queens?

I hope the Royals never win more than 75 games again in their history, then get the franchise moved. Hope Hosmer, Moustakas, Herrera and Ventura all get syphillis from all the gay sex they definitely have, too

For real, though...we should wait until the second series to do our celebration. I know that's going to be a wildly npopular opinion, but it would be a classy gesture not to shit on their opening day.

Excellent, not only we're in the minds of the O's fans, we're also in the minds of Mets and Blue Jay fans.

Kind of nice to get hated on for once.

Haters gonna hate.

The reason we really infuriate fans is because we play a different kind of baseball. Every single fan base says the same things... they got lucky because they got all these weak hits or bloops or took advantage of this play or that play. But that's part of the strategy since we put so many balls in play. Eventually some of them will go through or errors will happen, etc.

That thread is making fun of the Royals' advance scouting but they scouted the Blue Jays for almost two solid months before playing that series. Our scouts and base coaches are on top of everything. I'm sure they didn't follow the Mets that long, but our staff seems pretty sharp.

It's not their opening day, it's OUR opening day. And more than likely MLB's opening game.

Not once have I seen a post where they admit that our team is better. They're so stuck up their own ass about their own team it's unreal.

"we were playing like shit. if we were really on our A-game, we would've stomped them."

Have Mets fans even once considered that the Royals weren't playing their A-game all series either? Rios making that reeruned misplay not keeping track of outs, Hosmer with a couple of fielding issues. Even our hitting was suspect, but came alive during the late innings to make up for it. If the Royals were playing their A-game, this would've been an easy sweep, no questions asked.

Silly, silly stuff.

And your comments further solidify the point of sports. Two teams competed, one team won. That's all that matters. Everything else is noise.

The better team is the team that has the lead late every game.

Mets were the better team. Mets had a terrible manager.

Royals win the world series

This one cracks me up.."the better team had the lead late in every game"..yeah the Royals did dipshit that's why they won
