I'm fine leaving the rook in the 5 spot for now even though he looks much better. After his Post All-Star numbers last year I am a little concerned that Loshe is just another turd polished by Duncan that may be falling apart. However he has a decent history of being an innings eater as his worst.

I hate that apathetic ****er so bad that I'd consider tearing my own leg off just to beat him with it. That sorry sonofabitch is the reason we didn't win 3 consecutive pennants (thanks for that game 6 performance in 2005, you gutless shithead).

And his steady barrage of "I thought I made some good pitches today, they just didn't miss the mistakes I made" after giving up 10 ERs would absolutely F'ing kill me. When he wore a shirt to a post-game interview after yet another asskicking that said "whatever" on it, that encapsulated the Mark Mulder experience. He's a thief and a coward. **** him and his family.

Drew for Wainwright. Drew for Waiwright. Drew for Wainwright...anger subsiding.
I drove from ****ing Ohio and back to watch that gutless one who sucks the penis pitch in that game. I'd like to jam an icepick through both of his testicles.

It is pretty easy to rip on him since he couldn't pitch for shit after his shoulder was ruined. At the same time his demeanor on the mound the one year he was apparently healthy was hardly inspiring.

My parents went to that game where he threw a 10 inning shut out against Houston.

"Where were you on that one, dipshit?"

I very much remember that game since I have a lot of family in Houston.

I really don't have much animosity towards Mulder since I was exited about the trade at the time but realized we were giving up something with Harren. That Mulder was only good for a single ****ing year and Harren is now an ace is a huge kick in the balls. Still doesn't make the trade that brutal when thinking about the everything at that time.

I was very sleepy last night and fell asleep frequently during that game. But I do remember Lohse having a 1-2 count on a batter in the middle innings and walking him, then he got an 0-2 count on the NEXT D-Back and walked him too. Then the next guy rips a 2 run double. I shut the TV off and went to bed. For Lohse to get two consecutive batters with 2 strikes and then not have the mental toughness to get at least one of them is pathetic. He needed to be a bulldog at that point and he turned into a wet noodle. I would give Lohse two more starts and if he doesn't produce, send him down and bring up our best pitcher in the minors.

His team gave him early run support with a couple of leads and he let his team down.

Hrabosky must have said it a hundred times last night but it's still true, if you score seven against Danny Haren you really expect to win. Lohse needs to get his poop in a group.

Okay, so maybe last night sucked.

However, at least we're not moving an $18 million starter into a setup role:

______________________________________________________

NEW YORK (AP)—Cubs manager Lou Piniella has decided to move ace right-hander Carlos Zambrano(notes) to the bullpen.

Piniella talked to Zambrano about switching to an eighth-inning role before Chicago faced the New York Mets on Wednesday night. He says Zambrano was ready to do whatever was best for the team and the change “makes all the sense in the world.”

Ted Lilly(notes) will be inserted into the rotation when he comes off the disabled list, probably this weekend.

Zambrano agreed to a $91.5 million, five-year contract extension in August 2007 that includes a 2013 option that could make the deal worth $110.75 million over six seasons. He says he doesn’t like the idea of being a reliever but wants to help the team win.

That is funny considering he threw a decent game last night. 2 ER's and 9 K's in 6 innings.
