Trade Official: QB Alex Smith to #Chiefs confirmed

Reid Ferrin ‏@KCChiefs_Reid

Trade Official: QB Alex Smith to #Chiefs confirmed. Stay tuned to http://KCchiefs.com for more info #chiefskingdom

Adam Teicher ‏@adamteicher

The Alex Smith to #Chiefs trade is now official. 49ers get 2nd round pick plus conditional 2014 pick. Chiefs get starting QB

The San Francisco 49ers have agreed to a trade with the Kansas City Chiefs. The 49ers will acquire an undisclosed 2013 draft choice, and a conditional pick in the 2014 NFL Draft, in return for sending QB Alex Smith to the Chiefs. Smith must pass a physical in Kansas City for the trade to be executed.

“We would like to thank Alex for his contributions to the 49ers organization over the past eight years,” said 49ers General Manager Trent Baalke. “He is a true professional who represented the 49ers with class on and off the field.”

Originally the first overall draft pick in the 2005 NFL Draft by San Francisco, Smith spent eight seasons in the red and gold. During his tenure with the 49ers, he started 75 of the 80 games in which he played, completing 1,290 of 2,177 pass attempts (59.3%) for 14,280 yards and 81 TDs.

In 2012, Smith was 6-2-1 as a starter, completing 153 of 218 pass attempts (70.2%) for 1,737 yards with 13 TDs and 5 INTs, and a QB rating of 104.1. In 2011, Smith led the 49ers to their first NFC West title and postseason berth since 2002. He threw for a career-high 3,144 yards on 273 of 445 pass attempts with 17 TDs, 5 INTs and a 90.7 QB rating.

Born in Seattle, WA, Smith attended Helix High School in LaMesa, CA. At the University of Utah, Smith boasted a 21-1 record as a starter and became the first player in school history to be named a finalist for the Heisman Trophy.

First, you get to torture people with Joe Walsh, so there's that.

Second, it's a really horrible song with lop-dicked, quasi-reggae beat that should synch nicely with Axl's lop-dicked FAIL-style.

Third, it's got a keyboard part in the middle that sounds like a keyboard going:

HEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEERRRRRRP
DEEEEEEEEEEEEEEERRRRRRRRRP!

So, it could be a goldmine.

Really? I knew he was Lil Checky before his first game in a KC uni. Has nothing to do with Reid at all, that's a lame excuse. Reid didn't have those views in Philly and now all of sudden he does? Quit it.

I guess if you want to be "respectable", to be the team that winning franchises speed bump over on the way to 'ships, this has been a great arrangement.
