That’s a ****ing reach if I’ve ever seen one. They’re the Giants. Of course they went to the Parcells/BB tree. That’s not racism.

Now we having a minority coach does not necessarily equal racism man. That’s just ****ing ridiculous.
Here’s the thing with all of this.

No one is ever going to get confirmation that it’s racism because there will always be an excuse. And until some smoking gun is found there will always be plausible deniability.

Well, it's not called the Rooney Rule for no reason...

I don't like the Rooney Rule as it gives these teams an out. I think everyone should be judged on their abilities not on the color of their skin. As I said, I believe there is a difference in the NFL that wasn't overtly apparent as Culley and Flores being let go this year. I am as far away as you can get from yelling "racist", and despise the current narrative that everything is racist. However, I am also level headed enough to see it when it appears very apparent to anyone with a brain.

Go ahead and keep thinking 1/32 black head coaches in a predominantly black league is normal. If you don’t find that very odd, you’re beyond help.

Good ****ing god. Just use your brain for 5 seconds.
Has nothing to do with race. They worked together for years.

But yes while Dan Campbell, Urban Meyer, Matt Patricia and Josh McDaniels get jobs while EB doesn’t is ****ing dumb

You know what doesn’t help? When black GMs get the opportunity to hire their guy and they hire white guys too.

Why don’t you find that odd if you think there are so many great black coaches waiting for an opportunity?

Is it not odd that Poles passed on EB? Why do you think he did that?

EB was the favorite and has a history with the Vikings, yet couldn’t get an interview from Kwesi. Why?

You keep talking about proving any team is racist or refusing to hire black coaches. Nobody here is making that point. The claim is that for whatever reason they are not getting opportunities. The qbs coach is one small explanation but it doesn’t nearly touch the surprising shortage of black coaches moving in the pipeline. I know you keep trying to find reasons for the 1/32, but maybe just maybe a number that shockingly low doesn’t happen by mistake. There is obviously something very off and understandably many find it frustrating.

Here you go again.

“Nobody is saying it’s racism. But why aren’t they getting opportunities? It must be racism!”

You don’t even make ****ing sense. If it’s not racism, there’s no argument here. All I’m saying is that it’s not racism. You pretend to agree, but continue to argue.

We’ve talked about poles. Good lord, because Ryan poles was not hired to promise the bears more of the same. It is not odd at all that he chose not to replace Nagy with the guy who literally succeeded him.

And seeing that I said it’s not a racism issue, why does it matter if the gm is black or white. They are both struggling with the same problem of building a diverse pipeline. Now in terms of actual solutions, maybe the new Rooney rule will do what it did for GMs… encourage teams to develop black assistants so they’ll be attractive HC candidates one day.

Not sure why a starting black QB is important especially for s franchise that had ELI for 16 seasons then pretty much went in with Daniel Jones. You really have to make the argument that they did not go with ___ because of color and instead went with Jones or Eli.

Guess I would be willing to go incompetence on their last couple years. IT is not like anyone is arguing they even got the best white guy either in the Judge pick. Drafting Barkly (who is not white) also was considered a bad pick by many.

So you are acknowledging that your entire argument is based around EB not getting a job? And there are no other examples like him?

News flash:

If there are as many deserving black coaches not getting an opportunity as you make it seem, then why couldn’t Poles have hired one of them?

And what about Kwesi in Minnesota? He didn’t have the same issue as Poles with Nagy/EB. Why didn’t EB even get an interview despite having a history in Minnesota and being such a great candidate?
