With Hunt and Rice- the tape proved the crime.

In this case- they were caught Red-Handed taping the sideline. They had zero business doing it other than to steal plays. The crime is already substantiated by witnesses and their own admission of guilt.

Now they are trying to move the goalpost to make it just about the content on the tape.

Everyone keeps assuming that they are just looking at signals. We have no idea what exactly they are looking for, but they were clearly looking at something that they must think is valuable.

It doesn't matter if coaches signals are on the tape or not. Did they tape the sideline? If so, that is illegal. Whether or not they successfully gathered good information is not relevant.

If the Pats could get these signals from any other video then why go to great lengths at the risk of getting caught to tape a 1-win team. They are obviously getting something really useful out of this. Starting to think stealing signs is a smoke screen for something bigger. In the end, it doesn't even ****ing matter. It's obvious they were filming for the wrong reasons. It shouldn't matter how valuable that info is to them.

Yes, he did not deny it. BB's defense was that he interpreted the rule as to meaning footage video'd could not be used during that game but after. That's why he said it was unintentional. However, rule was vague, and thus led to it being clarified.
