You don’t even make ****ing sense. If it’s not racism, there’s no argument here. All I’m saying is that it’s not racism. You pretend to agree, but continue to argue.
Because hiring decisions aren’t made on the basis of race. Neither are promotions. That doesn’t mean you’re bringing in the best diverse talent and especially doesn’t mean you’re developing or progressing them or giving them the opportunities where they can shine. That doesn’t mean they aren’t risk averse to taking a chance on a raw young black coach.. You chalk up the shortage to them just not having the chops or interest to coach and teach. I don’t buy that at all. I don’t think teams do nearly enough to build and develop their pipeline. It isn’t racism but it is a clear organizational deficiency.

News flash:

If there are as many deserving black coaches not getting an opportunity as you make it seem, then why couldn’t Poles have hired one of them?

And what about Kwesi in Minnesota? He didn’t have the same issue as Poles with Nagy/EB. Why didn’t EB even get an interview despite having a history in Minnesota and being such a great candidate?
What? You’re the one who keeps bringing up poles. I get why Eb doesn’t have a job but it has nothing to do with poles not interviewing him.

I’m bringing up Poles because he’s a black GM that had his choice of a HC and he went with a white HC.

Same with Kwesi in Minnesota.

Why aren’t these black GMs picking from this great group of black coaches waiting for an opportunity?

The NFL did their job getting them into these positions, and they apparently aren’t helping and paying it back on the coaching front. Why?

Because they are picking from the pipeline given to them. They are relying on other teams to develop the talent they poach from. If a great talent never gets to coach he doesn’t get into the pipeline. If everyone from a scout or quality control coach doesn’t advance to positions coach to coordinator, they don’t make the pipeline either.

So either the nfl has too black talent not getting opportunities or they have a woefully underdeveloped pipeline despite having so much talent in the world to work from. Both are organizational deficiencies.

What a ****ing cop out answer. Does every other GM/team get that excuse too?

They both could’ve hired the poster boy EB and they didn’t even give an interview. There are plenty of other black candidates they could’ve hired as well.

If you really want to see more black coaches hired, you would understand that it needs to start with these black GMs that are getting the opportunity to hire them.

It’s the same concept as blacks supporting black small businesses. How can they expect the evil racist white men to help them if they can’t support/help themselves first.

Ah, so it's Andy Reid's fault that Eric Beinemy has never been anything other than what he always has been?

Interesting.

Bullshit. GMs shouldn’t be forced to hire anyone. The problem just occurs when 31 people are doing it.

Ryan poles wanted defense and he chose somebody probably at the recommendation of Ballard. Kwesi was hot on Demeco Ryans before he dropped out and now has guys like Patrick graham on his list.

But again, these guys are drawing from the coaching talent that is available to them. Seems like you think the diverse pipeline isn’t deep enough if EB is the poster child. Well then that points to an organizational deficiency to bring and develop quality talent. Either way it is very hard to believe that 1/32 is representative of talent.

Zilla is completely talking in circles and making no sense.

On one hand he’s saying there are all these black coaches not getting opportunities, but on the other he’s saying that these news black GMs not hiring any of them is because there aren’t any to hire.

I mean the mental gymnastics are absolutely astonishing.

Ryan Poles demanded to be able to hire his own HC before getting the job. Eberflus was 100% his guy.

Kwesi is also getting his guy in Harbaugh who he has a history/relationship with going back to SF. Harbaugh wasn’t even in the conversation or interviewed until Kwesi was hired.

Both GMs got THEIR guy.

Nice try though.
