It's amazing every year how this happens.

And guys that can flat out play are afterthoughts.

I’ve said a few times - I don’t mind taking small school guys with huge measurables, but they’d better have dominated their shitty competition.

Jalen Tolbert is a perfect example.

But if I’m going to take a moderately productive guy based on combine numbers I’m at least going with Alec Pierce who played better competition.

There are a dozen receivers I like more than Watson in this draft, many of whom will go after him.

Well maybe Calvin Austin has a large selection of underage pornography on his computer. Do you know that’s not the case? Do you really want that character risk, DJLN?

I wasn’t saying Christian Watson was the clear answer. Someone else mentioned him as the guy they had read about on here and I was using him in the hypothetical context of how the team might view him in our receiver room. I do think he and Pickens and Austin (and London obviously) all seem really exciting. I’ll trust Veach.

Hardman is still around for speed and pick whoever you like in the draft if you are looking for someone who can purely run a go route.

I'm just not too terribly impressed with anything I read about MVS other than he's fast, but so are a lot of other receivers who finish with mediocre bench player equivalent careers.
He played in 59 of 64 possible games in GB. Hardly a "bench player".

Just keep reminding yourself of these two facts:

1) MVS has JuJu size (he’s actually taller) + almost Tyreek-caliber speed.

2) He’s signed to replace DRob/Pringle… not Tyreek.

Funny you eliminate the word "equivalent" in your quote.

Funny how you would have rather kept Pringle - the exact type of player you don't want in MVS.

Yes, we are in the middle of overpaid mediocre players right now, a market you don't want to be in.

Pay stars or wait for bargains. The middle (where we are right now) is where you puke value.

I explained why I would have kept Pringle. Pringle doesn't disappear in the RZ, he was also cheaper. You can find straight line speed everywhere you look.

The Saints involvement drove up the price a little.

I’d rather pay a little more to get an impact player than continuously shopping in the shitfest category for Corey Coleman-caliber players.

That’s the advantage of having the newfound salary cap flexibility from the Tyreek trade.

So would I. MVS is not my definition of "impact".

Honestly dogging him as a budget DeSean Jackson isn't much of an insult. If he is anything like Jackson for us than this is a giant win lol.

You don’t think he’ll have an instant impact in the Chiefs offense next season?
