A long time ago a somewhat, uh, angry poster was called a pedo and called it real life crossover due to the damage it could have if his name was ever attached to his posts.

I don't remember for sure, but the person got some kind of slap on the wrist for it and the forum went apeshit about it.

That probably could have been the end of it, but several people turned it into a thing of calling others pedos as a way of showing solidarity or something, I don't know.

And that kind of forced us to step in. People in DC, years later, still think it's cool to call each other pedos (and every political figure ever).... people have been getting banned for it (usually a week for the first offense), then we recently filtered it because the cesspool still can't get enough of adults calling other adults names.... and they also started using "groomer" and of course other vague attempts at calling someone a pedo in the most vague way possible (similar to how "I hope I can kick your ass one day" isn't a direct threat).

It never would have been a big deal if it was simply dropped long ago.

No matter what I post an another part of the forum, there are at least a dozen other poster who will derail a thread with DC style nonsense in response. I know. I expect it. It's the internet.

Or you could come out and post something like "Hey, I totally think OBJ is worth the huge contract, and here's why:....." or "that hot teacher that banged the 16 year old student is totally innocent based on her picture".
