Neither is a powerful in-line guy. But they’re both athletic and move well in space. Should bode well for outside zone and plays where you can pull the T.

Genuine question but where do you think we had most success with our running last year. Felt like our outside zone stuff was pretty bad, but maybe just with CEH, or maybe I'm misreading it. I get a lot of this stuff mixed up.

It was kind of a "No duh" argument that got turned into a biggo pissing match because his posting style is so abrasive.

Dude has to learn how to disagree with out letting it turn into a biggo thing.

It's ok to let people disagree with you. Disagree and just move on. If you're right, people will remember and your opinion will have more weight in the next debate.

When you act like a complete ass about it though, that's what people ultimately end up remembering.

Thankfully running the ball is something Andy forgets to do in about 90% of games so we should be good.

Yeah, I already admitted in the other thread I was wrong but outside of us admitting we were, nobody is going to remind us a few months from now that I was wrong.

Other than him, of course.

And because of his delivery, nobody cares what he thinks. So it ends up having zero impact at all.

I think outside zone is pretty tough when you don't have mobile Ts and your RB is not fast. I am interested to see if this setup works as much better as I think it can.

Pacheco always seemed to run well behind Brown.

I don't really have a dog in this fight. I get why he rubbed people up the wrong way, but a lot of people were very confident in their response, and pretty full on. Don't really think anyone came off great if we're talking about people learning to disagree. But I can hear myself sound like a smug p**** so I'll leave it at that. I get what your saying, I don't disagree.

Yeah man, he called me a "bully" and I took the bait. Guilty as charged. I won't do it again because engaging him just makes him worse and nobody wants to read that shit.

As for the debate, we won't know how it shakes out until that first game. Who knows how it will settle. Smith could be washed for all we know.

That being said, the one thing I was adamant about other than my opinion on what I thought they would do is that I am all in on what they DID. I didn't "want" anything this offseason, which made this draft awesome for me. I see the fits for everybody now because I'm just simply not worried about the offseason anymore. Thanks Andy, thanks Veach!

I think the Smith signing is great. The upside is huge. The idea of him playing at a high level on the left with Taylor on the right is drool inducing.

Yeah. If Smith is what he was in 2021, he's about the same as Orlando Brown overall... except a better pass blocker and weaker run blocker, and much more mobile. Smith is athletic enough for them to dust off the plays they used to run with Eric Fisher in space (which Brown couldn't do). And Taylor would obviously be a huge upgrade from Wylie.

And beyond that, the depth... behind Smith at LT you'd have:

1: Taylor
2: Wanya Morris
3: Lucas Niang (Or flop him with Morris if you think they would)
4: Joe Thuney
5: Prince Tano-Wanogha

That's the best T depth the Chiefs have had in a long time and a far cry from the days of hoping Cam Erving could handle LT.
