Vikings signed WR Albert Wilson, formerly of the Dolphins, to a one-year contract.

Wilson, 30 in July, parlayed a 42-554-3 line in 2017 with the Chiefs into a four-year, $17.75 million deal with the Dolphins as a free agent. He ended up catching a total of 94 balls for 955 yards and five touchdowns across 34 games for Miami, missing all of 2020 after opting out due to COVID concerns. In Minnesota, Wilson will compete for fourth wideout duties behind Justin Jefferson, Adam Thielen, and K.J. Osborn.

What a wild career. Mahomes literally made it with one game. Wilson, Pringle and Dieter are probably car salesman without him.

THere just aren't many "18 sack" guys out there though. It's all gotta break perfectly to get to that many. Look at history and guys who are 9-10 sack per year guys are the ones that can get to 15 or more.

Not saying we need an 18 sack guy, although it wouldnt hurt. I'm just saying i dont want to pay through the teeth for a guy like quinn. He's good no doubt, but i dont want to give up Khalil Mack like comp for a guy whos got like a 2% chance to repeat the numbers he put up last year.

Then there's what the Chiefs think of Kaindoh and Malik Herring's progress

Not sure we can do anything until Brown Jr's contract is negotiated, and he doesn't have an agent yet.

Dieter probably IS a car salesman. About the only bank he made was a couple of playoff game checks in Pat's first year as a starter.

Doesn’t the practice squad pay like 250k a year? That’s considerably more than the average person leaves college to make. He should be set up to do well if he’s smart at all with it.

Gehrig Dieter hasn't gotten rich in the NFL but he has made some money and has gotten to hang out with Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce for a few years.

2017 - $122,400 cap + $5,000 cash

2018 - $169,412 cap + $76,000 cash

2019 - $72,000 cap + $92,471 cash + $32,000 cash + $100,588 cash

2020 - $39,706 cap + $228,318 cash + $228,318 cash

2021 - $165,600

Gehrig has made a total of $1,331,813 from 2017 to 2021.

Apparently the Commanders don't plan to sign Daron Payne. Might be an option I suppose.

They've gotta figure out the pass rush though. Surely there's a vet move coming at some point.

Brown dragging his feet figuring out his agent is holding funds hostage.

We have anywhere from $13-$17 million in available cap space with Brown at his tag figure.

He’s not the holdup on addressing the DL.

Veach in his glorious interview said that right now they can afford to make a “smaller move” but after a Brown extension he would have the resources to make a “much larger move”.

He wasn’t beating around the bush, he was very clear and he has a long history of “telling it how it is” in these interviews.

Well, there's no free agent out there worth anything big. So it'd have to be a trade.

Teams usually don't trade much post draft because you're a year away from getting to use said draft picks.
