Here’s how the top 25 started out

The team's two players who are currently capable of running the point for a substantial period of time (Wheeler, Wallace) didn't play the second half (Wheeler hasn't played in weeks, Wallace left because of injury). The team also went 3/19 from 3. Vanderbilt played really well with losing their starting center early as well.

Losing sucks but I'm not really concerned as long as Wallace is back. They had a lead with under 2 minutes to go and settled for a hero ball three attempt at the buzzer that shouldn't have been the final shot. A horrible end to the first half exacerbated the issues mentioned above (including Vanderbilt's backup center banking in a 3 at the buzzer to end the first half).

This team also might be the worst or second worst team Cal's had defensively at Kentucky as well. I think this season would have gone a lot different if Sharpe didn't go to the league, but it's whatever. Cal didn't get another scorer to supplement Reeves or another wing after losing Sharpe/Brooks/Hopkins.

Also, I know it's Vanderbilt, but look at what Stackhouse has done there, the talent he's bringing in, the offense that he runs. They've improved every year he's been there and probably would have been a tournament team if Pippen Jr. didn't declare for the draft. He won't be at Vanderbilt for long if he continues to improve and I believe he'd be a way better coach at UNC than Davis is.

While it sucked to end like that for the Cats, 23-8 with 11-7 in conference play and a possible 2-3 seed in the tournament is nothing to be ashamed of. Tang appears to be the good fit for the Cats.

If they play with a lot of sloppiness (mainly unforced turnovers), you would be correct. And I can definitely see that happening if they're careless, which they are prone to do so.

But on the other hand, playing in the toughest conference with a 9-6 Q1 wins, 4-1 Q2 wins, 3-0 Q3 wins, and 7-0 Q4 wins, they do have the capability to run it deep as well.

I think it'll come down to the seeding and the path of who their opponents are.

I don’t understand. Roach Bacot, Love and Davis are all playing really really badly.

I’m not sure I’ve seen more shots that haven’t hit rim. And I watched JV high school girls.

It's an awful game between two bad teams. Duke is gonna make the tournament but they barely deserve it. UNC has no business being in it at all.
