No, I don't know if that's true or not, but it sure as **** seems like it. He's worse than Callahan and Pellini, I know that.
I mentioned at the time of his hire that Scott Frost is one of the absolute dumbest people I've ever met. His failure at NU should surprise absolutely nobody.

I think Missouri and kansas and Iowa and Iowa State and even Minnesota and the NDSU program all have kept a little talent away from Nebraska that otherwise would have matriculated there in past eras.

Guys like Martin Rucker, Jeremy Maclin, Aldon Smith Justin Britt, Tim Barnes, William Moore used to go to Nebraska and be happy to sit for a few years before getting their time in the sun.
That's a problem everywhere sans 4 or 5 schools remains to be seen how the transfer portal changes those dynamics. Hes got pretty much everyone coming back on defense thanks to the COVID rules, added a few proven talented guys from the portal this year, and has done a great job getting talented recruits on the offensive line those kids will be playing this year. I'm not ready to throw dirt on his tenure just yet that schedule this year is brutal but if he can get 7 or 8 wins he can hang onto his job and theres some very talented recruits in the Nebraska/Iowa/MO/KS region they are in on. The days of 90s are over but theres no reason they cant be as good as Iowa/Wisconsin have been on a consistent basis and they have begain building new facilities with a higher recruiting budget than those 2 schools I've mentioned.

I'm on board with the Stewart hire. Didnt he work at Mizzou during their golden years of football in the 2000s?

5) No all-time great coaches. Osborne and Devaney are two of the top 10 or so college football coaches of all time. They just happened to be back-to-back, creating a little bit of an illusory effect that it was ALL the program. It's the coach, too.

So a bunch of loser seasons. If you don't win the conference, you are a loser.

What you really mean is they couldn't compete with their old rival, Oklahoma.

So they went to a conference where they have no recruiting history/advantage and better top teams than the Big12. Genius!

You mean stories like about how Dean Steroidkuhler was made?

Haha

I’ve never talked to Dave Remington, but I worked around a lot of crusty old reporters for a while there.
