All kinds of gossip coming out of there. What's being said on the internet (supposedly):

Stans are saying that it was a set up by his record label. Something about the label putting a life insurance policy on him. This was a private event and the shooter was one of his homies from the label.
I wonder how much a record label has to pay somebody for them to agree to going to prison for the rest of their life.

I have no idea what's true. My wife is heavy into celeb gossip and has been talking my ear off with it since i woke up yesterday.

Sounds like they're aiming for one of those Suge Knight-ish theories to me.

The most cliché thing in music happens, a rapper being shot and killed, and people want to get mad about some people making fun of it?

I feel as sorry for this guy as I do the rock stars who OD on drugs or booze.

Its just what they do.

Who,

These rappers are not like the rappers I grew up to.

Shit Biggie and 2 pac had no fear, the two of them would blast anyone, anywhere, and at any time.

But I am now 40 and tbh not in to rap anymore.

Quavo and Takeoff had produced some songs together (i.e. Hotel Lobby) without Offset, which suggested a rift of sorts in the group. It makes me wonder if his murder had anything to do with that.

They're all literal family so I highly doubt that

True, but there was something there. Offset is like a cousin or something, IIRC.

Pretty much where I'm at. Never got into rap but when you are constantly rapping about how many whores you get, how big your rims are, how many guns you have, and how you dont take shit from anybody, I'm not surprised when rappers constantly find themselves getting shot.

I liked them better when Morfo was with them, but the first time, not when Zeebu was there.

I assume we're just making up names here, right?

That's not what he's saying.

I've never heard of this guy or Migos. Went to youtube and put in Migos. Click on the first song and the lyrics are talking about cooking up dope in a crock pot, ****ing someone else bitch, how savage and ruthless their crew is with uzi's and AK's...

Ever heard of the phrase "Play stupid games, win stupid prizes"?

He didn't deserve to die but I'm willing to bet he has put himself in multiple situations that could end up like it finally did. Just like a rocker snorting his final line.

The rap scene does have way more murders than any other mainstream musical genre.

It is just a fact.
