Please throw up a prayer for my pops
Just got word that he got taken to the hospital an hour ago for chest pains...he is 75 and has Polio (no jokes, please) and his health has been deteriorating over the last year and I fear the worst is coming...

Best of luck to your old man. Mine went through some similar stuff, actually had a 90-something percent blockage, and the dr's actually referred to his type of blockage as a widow maker. He had minor heartattacks along the way. Long story short, he pulled through and has overcome some even bigger crap since. Medical procedures and technology have really come a long way.

Great news he's doing well. Hopefully you can keep us posted on how things go moving forward.

Well, after fighting through 2 heart attacks in the last year and another one today, my dad finally found a battle he couldn't win, but he went down swinging.

He lived to be 76 after a full life.

RIP

His lesson to the world: don't let bad luck get you down

Epic bad luck: The man got polio a year before the vaccine was released

What he did with it: Came to the US from Berlin and finished college at the top if his class and went on to work for NASA and later a company where he designed a lot of the parts that went into the STS1 ...the first orbiting space shuttle.

I can't believe I won't be able to have and more conversations with him or get advice and I'll miss him. We had our differences, but were able to work through them and make peace.
