Sportrac says we're $8 million under the cap right now

I'm aware that we don't know the details of Maclin's first year salary, but is this enough?

If Bowe doesn't take a pay cut, do you think we can afford right now to just cut him outright instead of designating him as a June 1st cut? That way we don't have to take on a share of this year's dead money into next year.

What else do we need to do before tomorrow afternoon?

I've always appreciated Dwayne Bowe. But in all honesty, if he goes, I'm good with it.

I'm ****ing TIRED of all of the nitwit fans that pick on Bowe because he drops a pass.

I'm TIRED of all of the ****tards that point to him because the Chiefs lost a game.

I'm TIRED of just hearing his name.

It's time for the fans to blame someone else.

I've always liked him too. He is a weird guy on and off the field. He makes goofy decisions or poorly timed drops. But as you said people blow it way out of proportion. If he played with green as qb his legacy would be different.

People get on him for his "attitude". Yet all through the disaster that has been this passing game he hasn't complained or been a drama queen. His teammates and coaches have all praised his work ethic. That gets no attention from some fans. All they care about is that he points to his name. That drives me absolutely crazy. It's not a big deal. Get the **** over it. He cares about the team. If u think pointing to his name proves otherwise you are oblivious.

THIS...nice, Hoov.

It's going to take just over 6.5 million in cap for 2015 to sign all the draft picks. What I'm assuming at this point is that Bowe is going to be a June 1 cut and his release is what will give KC that 6.5 million and another 3 million in operating room going into the season.

Whatever room is made from here on out will have to be done with more cuts, which are running out quick, and an Alex Smith restructure. Smith can free up about 8.1 million, but the remaining guys to cut are basically Chase Daniel at 3.8 m and a couple guys like Allen would free up 1 m.

The only other guys that can clear significant cap space are guys nobody wants to get rid of: trading Houston on a franchise tender, trading Jamaal Charles (6.6 m), cutting Derrick Johnson (5.25 m), or cutting or trading Sean Smith (5.5 m)

And in my opinion, the fans who go, "He just PLAYS lazy" are doing the very thing they chide other fans for doing-- claiming that they know more than the coaches.

They're watching a game and don't detect enough energy from a player through their TV screens. Therefore, Bowe is lazy and dogging it because he already got his money and just wants to blow it on weed and imported women.

And Bowe isn't yelling at Smith about his 3 targets per game. He's too busy blocking for Charles.
