Oklahoma Advice Needed

I have an offer for a great job based in Oklahoma, and am in need of advice from those who know the state. I would likely be able to live in either OKC or Tulsa. From my very limited knowledge, it seems like Tulsa is a prettier place overall, but I suppose OKC has its' benefits too.

I have 2 kids, ages 7 & 10, so schools will play an important part in the decision. I've lived in KC most of my life, so any comparisons/contrasts there would be appreciated. Thanks!

Sand Springs is supposed to have a quality public school system as well, but the area is up and coming and still growing. You'll find more rural roads in south Sand Springs, with bigger lots if you want more acreage.

Glenpool and Sapulpa are two other communities on the west side that I don't know much about their school systems, but they are towns that are just off the beaten path enough that they haven't seen as much growth. A big project known as the Tulsa Hills off HWY 75 is about to change that.

BTW, the Turner Turnpike will be the best method of traveling to and from both cities.
Right on the money recap. I've lived in both OKC and Tulsa. Huge advantage goes to Tulsa in my book. They call Tulsa 'Green Country'. Appropriately named. It's a nice clean 'town'. There is a lot of 'old money' there. They are into arts.

OKC, on the other hand, is a larger, somewhat run down city. The school system is very sub-par in OKC. If you move to OKC, you'll probably need to have your kids in private school. If you move to OKC, try to move to or near Edmond.

I agree with BCF that Jenks is a great school district. Also check out Union. It is really good too.
