****The OFFICIAL Giants vs. Tony Romos! thread****

In honor of Bob Dole.

I think the Giants are going to pull out a squeaker at the end, with Romo throwing a pick in the endzone with like 10 seconds left in the game, down by four.

Again, let me remind you. Troy ****ing Aikman went 0-11 in his first 11 starts.

You really can't tell how good a QB can be with just six ****ing games. How about giving him the ****ing benefit of the doubt, and give him a chance? Jesus Christ couldn't even throw the football, becuase the linemen isn't giving him four seconds to throw the goddamned football.

Come on.

Hate to point this out to you, but Manning is older, and cost them two first round picks and a third rounder.

Croyle cost one third rounder.

Yeah, I'd rather have Croyle. He cost a hell of a lot less, both monetarily and in draft picks. It's not just about comparing the two physically.

Do you think that the Pats would choose a 29 year old CB who is just a tick better than a 24 year old, when the 29 year old will also command a much larger salary?

Not 'already better', but saying "let me know when Brodie wins a playoff game" is just as dumb as saying Croyle is without a doubt better than Eli.

I think the point is that Croyle's potential of throwing ~20 TDs and ~20 INTs with about 3,000 yard passing and a rating of 75 is pretty good. That's what Eli's done each of his first 4 years.

What's wrong with that statement?

I'm not even remotely looking at what they gave up for him...but hey you can hope he'll be good. I don't think he's a "tick" below either, right now that's a gap.

I don't see it with Croyle, I see a guy who's rail thin that can't stay on the field.

I'll be surprised if he stays healthy enough to play enough games to get those stats.
