I've seen that movie like 6 times now. I think the acting gets worse the more you see it.

That movie is crazy.
Another early Witherspoon movie that's interesting is "Best Laid Plans."

Kramer vs Kramer....Embarassing part, probably becaue it's not very manly and there is crying in it blah, blah, blah.

But from the stand point that the dad did nothing wrong, his wife walked out on him, left him the kid. He manned up and took care of his son responsibly.

I had just as much to do with how our kids were brought up as my wife (I know I changed more diapers than she did). I hate it when men are sterotyped as not good parents just because we are men. When we do something we are suppose to as a parent we hear well that's his job, when something happens and we can't be somewhere with them it's they aren't spending time with the kids. No win situation.

I know some women right now that has 4 kids under 10 by 3 different men and is basically refusing to take care of them just because she can't handle them all. The kids have been in and out of foster care just because their mother is a lazy whore.

The movie depicts Dustin Hoffman as what most of us are, good dads that really love our children and when their mother walks out on life we would stand up and take care of them.

A bunch of romantic comedies, but I'm really not embarrassed to admit liking them.
