Is this the year that Dorsey gets his shit together?

Grunting, sweating, screaming in a weight room is where you can find Glenn Dorsey, he has been working real hard in the offseason trying to overcome of whispers of "bust"
"I don't even want to hear that word, Yes I know I sucked balls last year, but I am ready to get my shit together. Amongst the fans and people at LSU Dorsey's nickname Was the Flying turkey for his ability to run across roads in central missouri. Taking 1st overall by the chiefs was a gamble, but a gamble that hasn't paid off yet. "We were going to take a football player" said clark hunt "One that's main job is to bring a person with a football in his hands to the ground causing the referee to blow the whistle" Warroom experts were there when dorey was taken. "we liked the fact that he played football" they said. Now a new D line coach should really help him. The new Dline coach will be working with dorsey to play football well. And that is going to help him get his shit together...

The change to 3-4 won't make it easier....but I'm convinced that Dorsey is a football player. And that's, in the end, all that really matters.

HE will find a place in the NFL, unlike a former first round turd who now wears a Bucaneers uniform.

We need Dorsey to take on 5 blockers; because if he doesn't then it's pretty clear we just wasted a lot of money and time on a guy who doesn't play to win the game.
The bust hes been his whole career? Are you a ****ing idiot? Hes been in the NFL for one year and he hasn't even entered the year DT's break out. But I'm guessing you don't pay much attention to the fine details of football, so you probably don't know that a DT's break out year is generally the third year at minimum.

You know they're going to convert him to safety at some point. You just can't let an obvious bust continue to take up space on a line that needs veteran leadership to teach the young guys how to contribute to the new young guys every year. He's gonna be another William Bartee LOL.

They should probably scrap Hali at OLB and let Dorsey prove himself there. He's too small to be an effective DT in this league, but if he sheds a few pounds we'll have a LB corps from hell. It'll be sick. But, that all depends on if he starts playing like he loves this game instead of playing like he loves being a bust.

3 year rule, if a player with any potential in being great should show fully in his 3rd year since that's also the average career of a NFL player

No shit.

Thigpen would have at least had good solid competition for the starting QB spot if we had drafted Ryan.

Yeah, but you gotta also factor in the fact that DT had heart and was committed to not being a bust from Day 1. This is like Day 400-something for Glen and until he proves otherwise he's shown nothing but a loser/bust mentality.

Dorsey has a clear place in the hybrid defense, but he doesn't fit into a 3-4. And with a good season in 2009, he could be worth a lot in trade value.
I believe this too, I'm on the line of thought that KC will try to showcase Dorsey as much as possible to get trade value for a top ten pick(hopefully)

See, you get it. We have to stay young, otherwise we'll always fail in the NFL. We need the veteran guys to teach the young guys how to teach the new young guys. You have to have a mentality of I'm not going to be a bust. And Glen Dorsey just hasn't proven that yet.

You think one year is adequate time? Not even factoring in he was lined up at the wrong position? His coaches didn't push him to be great, or even good. He didn't even has talent around him or a veteran to lean on.
