Assuming Clausen isn't an option and Berry is gone, put me in the McClain camp. This D needs a leader and playmaker no matter what.

I think it's a smokescreen, but has to do with negotiations between Washington and St. Louis for the number one pick. Although why they would name Berry and not Okung as their target, I have no idea. But I think there's a reason the Rams haven't made Bradford official yet, and I think it might be Washington.

According to NFL Network's Jason La Canfora, the Redskins could use the draft pick acquired from an Albert Haynesworth trade to "get in the ballpark for a move at" Saints LT Jammal Brown.
---------- This allows them to draft Berry and still get their LT in Brown. Ugh. |

It is. The Skins only have 4 picks in the draft and they sure as hell aren't going to select a Safety with the fourth overall pick when they need a LT to protect their prized McNabb.

I could see either the Browns or 49ers trading with the Redskins for the #4 pick.
The Browns for Berry. The 49ers for Clausen. |
