It's a time travel show as near as I can tell.

When I was living there like 5 years ago, my then Girlfriend and I went in there looking for a Digital camera. The place is really small and he had like 5-6 cameras, that was it everything else in the place was like art, and collectibles, not what you would consider a traditional pawn shop. I don't remember much else as we we only there for like 10-15 mins. tops, but I do remember Rick giving us a look at the cameras. Then last year I come across the show and see the exterior shots and thought, "I 've been in there, once they showed the interior I knew for sure, weird."
A friend of mine walks to work and walks by there everyday, he says there are lines out the door and velvet roped. Huge attraction now. The shop is located in between The Stratosphere and Fremont street, on the Las Vegas Blvd (Strip), but the neighborhood would be sketchy at best at night. A lot of low rent (by the hour) hotels, pawn shops, porn shops, and liquor stores. But anyways, cool show I love it.

This is the business of the future. Used to be only poor n'hoods had pawn shops. It'll be mainstream middle America soon.
