Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning

Now I don't know about you guys, but fans of Skyrim/WoW/etc. would like this game that hits stores 2/7/2012.

-The Developer is Big Huge Games. Responsible for titles such as Rise of Nations and Age of Empires III. Not very popular games but I think this one is worth looking at.

-Published by Electronic Arts, so graphics will be top notch. It is single player RPG.

-Available on XBOX360, PS3, and PC.

Trailer here:

In terms of eye-candy, yes.

But great games are very rarely just about eye candy.

Of course, I'm closing in on 40 and have gotten pretty lazy. I don't have the gumption any more to build and tweak PCs, update drivers, and work through constant bugs and crashes. I like the simplicity of throwing in a disc, sitting back on the couch, and just playing.

I agree. I'm actually about burntout on it myself now that don't have a job that requires me to have killer graphics HW.
I really don't even play video games very often at all.
And I agree about gameplay. Red Dead Revolver was every bit as entertaining on the original xbox as Redemption....if not better.

That sounds like the PS2/3 game Shadow of the Colossus. Fantastic game. You started in a temple after each boss and rode your horse to the next giant boss.

Yeah, it was a PS2 game. They re-released both Ico and Shadow as a 2-pack for the PS3 with updated graphics. GREAT games.

Yup, one of my favorite games ever made. I basically purchased my PS3 for two HD remakes, heh -- Shadow of the Colossus/ICO set and the soon to be released Silent Hill HD collection.

The more you post the more reeruned you become.
Try to keep up with what's going on your own thread about a lame game hijacked into one about a good game.

This game looks well-made, but I've just seen/played soooo many games just like this.

I've been playing the demo tonight. Reducing the camera stick sensitivity is a must - I wish they had the same option for the left stick because movement feels kind of jerky, ala Madden 98.

Otherwise, this looks like it could be a GREAT game.
