The KC one this weekend is going to be chilly (the water/mud). The actual temp should be nice though.
It'll be my first attempt. I'll looking forward to ruining the inside of my wife's car (she has no idea). |

I recently signed up for my first Mudder, scheduled for July 20th. Should be fun, but need to get my ass back to running. Ugh.
I'll be pissed if they remove Walk the Plank - looking forward to having some fun off that one... |

Not trying to sound like a dick, or badass or anything, but it looks like a lot of walking and waiting your turn to climb/jump. Looks like a dirty assed mess, but not terribly difficult if one is in decent shape. Looks like my boot camp obstacle course with the ability to stop and people helping at every station. meh

All that said, 12 miles is 12 miles and that's typically more than most are prepared for especially with the physical obstacles involved. With waiting probably about 30 minutes combined at obstacles and water stops we finished in about 3:45. It's easy to soak up 30 or 40 minutes at even 5 minute wait times at each obstacle. We typically pushed to the front with there only being two of us. Sundays are usually less packed though. The average they say is between 3 and 5 hours. |

Not to hijack this thread....but I was on my way home from church yesterday in Lexington on I-64 and a truck pulling a midget dirt track race car pulled alongside me....what caught my eye was the race car was plastered with Chief's logo's all over it. It even had a Chief's license plate on the back.
What was odd was seeing it in Kentucky, but the license plate on the truck was from Indiana... So which of you race fans was this? |
