Convince me to not buy season tickets

I just snapped out of a cold sweat where I almost shelled out $1200 for a couple of season tickets for this year. I came close. I figured if there was anyone on Earth that could talk me out of this hefty purchase it was you ****ers.

Pros:

Chiefs games and tailgaiting
The Chiefs could win the division, maybe a playoff game or two, or who knows how far?
I popped over 10k at the casino, it's free money (Except it's just a portion of money I've given them in the past)

Cons:

3 hour drive each way to the stadium
God knows how much for parking
Concessions prices
The Chiefs could suck dick again this year (Christ, could you imagine the ramifications if all world qb Matt Cassel went down?)
I may get arrested should I haplessly drop a candy wrapper somewhere inside the gates

This team hasn't won a god damned playoff game in 19 years!

The last game I went to was in 2003 and I made a promise to myself after that game: I'm not giving Clark my money anymore until this team wins a playoff game.

I'm sick and tired of Clark raising parking tickets because the team had a "successful season". **** that. A successful season is winning a playoff game.

Season tickets are fantastic. It's so ridiculousy easy to make your money back, it should be illegal. And this is while the team has sucked the last few years.

If I cared about the team, I'd probably buy some. 20 years of it was enough for me though.

Almost? The game isn't even the top 3 reasons I go.

I paid $500 for my tickets (2). I'll sell the preseason ones no problem for full price as I always do.

_______

$400 for season tickets.

Then I typically sell my tickets to 2 games per season, again... never having a problem selling at full price.

----------
$300 for season tickets where I attend 6 of the 8 reg season games and no preseason.

In the past, I have paid that much to go to 2 (4 tickets) games all season long. **** that. I get to see more games live for a fraction of the cost. Season tickets have not let me down yet.

There are a number of reasons to not get the tickets. But this is not one of them.

Don't be a pussy.

I think the team is going in the right direction. It would make sense to pull the trigger on tickets this year.

But it is also tough because Arrowhead isn't what it used to be. Pricing out the average fan has done a few things. The atmosphere is good at times but not the same as it used to be...oh well...that kinda shit happens. The 90s were fun.

The only thing that would be keeping me from doing it if I had the extra money to spend on it would be the fans that are there now. Tickets are so expensive that people just lose their god damned mother ****ing minds when the Chiefs don't do well, and that is their right.

Another thing is more and more people are being out of control mean spirited drunks. Sure...it is not supposed to be a Royals game and the intense hostile atmosphere is awesome but the number of people that simply can't control their shit and ruin the experiences of people around them seems very very high.

I know my reasons are sort of weird but it is stuff I think about.

I don't understand the "free money" mentality. It's not free. It just came easy (this time). You spent that $10k on crap you don't need then you'll have to use your hard-earned money on crap you do need. If you invest the $10k into your home, health, education, *edit* Air Conditioning so you can sleep, or equally worthy expense then you're $10k ahead.

He's already said that money is not the issue.

The only game I've been to that they've lost was the playoff game, and it was a ****ed up drive home. Left a really sore taste in my mouth. Driving home 30-45 minutes is much more manageable.
IF you really want the tickets what you do is get to know a guy who has a killer gameroom and a nice spare king sized bedroom and ask him if it's cool to drive up to his place either Friday night or Saturday morning. Then you hang with him and maybe go the casino, hit a few bars on Saturday, have a free place to crash, get up at a reasonable time on Sunday and be only 50 minutes or so from the game.
