Handing off to Adrian Peterson is a tough job.

It's funny that noone is like:
"I hope he goes on to win with Minnesota just to show how bad the Pioli-run (or ruin) Chiefs were. I'm going to root for him just to show the Chiefs made a mistake." You know.. like they do about the Geno. Really, Cassel isn't a bad backup, if you don't have a developmental QB there. He's not going to win you much, but he can (somewhat) direct a pro-style offense and make a few passes when necessary. I don't think he was the ONLY reason our offense sputtered constantly. I don't remember how good the Viking O-Line is at pass blocking though, which has a LOT do with Cassel's state of mind back there. (i.e., he needs like 10 seconds)

I saw a guy today with a Chiefs Cassel jersey/shirt on.
Poor sap. I knew instantly he wasn't from CP. |

I know, I don't think they have any illusions about what they are getting. The article is pretty accurate, except the part where they think Cassel is a good backup coming in at the start of a game. He's not a good backup period.

If I remember right--Ponder played EVERY SNAP last year.
It was a sign that Webb was that bad. And he proved it in the playoff game. So the chances of Cassel playing are slim. We should all move on.
