Preseason Week 2 - What Do You Want to See?

1. Poe flash more signs of beastly behavior
2. Oline shows solid play against 49er Dline
3. Alex Smith throw the ball downfield to the WRs
4. A CB step up and cover someone
5. Knile Davis show he really is an NFL rb.

If you're going to keep him, give him a shot to earn his stripes. You can't call a guy dog shit based on the limited opportunities he was given under the Pioli regime. Bray would be fine on the Practice Squad. He'll easily clear waivers and he needs time. And given that I have no confidence at all in Chase Daniel right now, I'd rather Stanzi be the next in line in a pinch than Bray.
Your're dumb. Bray wouldn't last a ****ing day on the PS before being taken by another team and Stanzi has had 2 ****ing seasons to earn his stripes... get him the **** out of here.

You really think Bray makes another teams 53 at this point sight unseen? I'm not saying you're wrong...but I'd need to see more in the pre-season games to feel strongly one way or another.

He was an undrafted rookie. This debate happens every year and these guys always clear the practice squad.

He was an undrafted FA with 1st round talent and a HS brain that the Chiefs had to double up on to sign in FA. Get out.

I like the idea of grooming the kid. The idea that he's a risk to not make a practice squad roster is nonsense. If any team believed he was first round talent, he would've been drafted. Period.

He would easily be picked up. This is all a moot point anyways. Stanzi is a dead man walking. There is far more upside to Tyler Bray than to Ricky Stanzi.

Just because he wasn't drafted, doesn't mean that he wouldn't be wanted by someone. Especially if he shows well in the next few pre season games. He is probably going to play the entire second half of he 4th game.....

Bray obviously has more upside than Stanzi. I like the kid.

But if he wasn't wanted in the draft, it's a longshot that some team will completely change their mind after the preseason. Even if he performs well, every team knows the kid can throw and play. He wasn't drafted because of his attitude. 4 preseason games isn't going to change people's mind on that.

I would feel much more comfortable cutting Stanzi if I had any faith in Chase Daniel. Right now, I just don't. If Smith is out 1 or 2 games, I think Stanzi is our next best option, sadly.

That's fair enough. I have read quite a bit about Bray this offseason, and the one thing I liked is he seemed to be humbled a bit by not being drafted. he has clung close to Alex Smith.

You may be right about Stanzi, but, I just don't think that there is any way the Chiefs will try to put Bray to the PS because just for instance, the team that really wanted to bring him in was the Jags. Im sure they would snatch him up if they could. Or the Raiders. I just think there is enough bad qbs out there that if Bray shows anything, that he will be snatched up...

The guy who has only managed to go backwards on one of the worst QB rosters in the league is the Chiefs 2nd best option at QB.

JFC.

True, but also keep in mind that teams signed QBs when they couldn't get Bray. For Jacksonville to get Bray, they'd have to cut Matt Scott and he'd have to win a job over seasoned vets like Kafka and Henne for the backup/third string.

Then also keep in mind that most teams will already have made the hard decisions to cut their final roster to 3 QBs. And that Bray would have to compete with cut QBs. Perhaps a surprise rookie like Tyler Wilson or Landry Jones. Or veterans like Vick or Harell.

1. More from Kelce, he didnt impress me much first game
2. Bray with better receivers, he was killed by drops last game and I think that messed up his rhythm.
3. Charles to not even suit up for this game. He doesnt need it, and all of the backups could use more touches.
4. Rico Richardson. Hopefully he isn't just this years Bobby Sippio, but I'd like him to face some of the better CBs just to see if we actually have anything here.
5. Powe/Bailey. If we want any success this year on D, our line needs to be deeper, and these two are going to be crucial.
6. Nico to get some quality reps. I just like him and hope he starts sometime this year, and these reps will be important down the road.
7. Bowe to do something on the first drive. I know it probably had more to do with the game script, but it just felt weird to see the offense move without Bowe contributing. If we still score without him, awesome, but I wouldnt mind a catch or two.
8. NO INJURIES

I want to see a few short completions from Smith. Also want to see our #2 WR, Bowe catch a ball or two.
