The difference was the weather but I might still argue that the Chiefs parade had equal or more people at it. From what I’ve seen of today’s and what I remember for the Royals, there’s a lot more people on the parade route today than there was for the Royals.

The city handled the Royals parade poorly. People didn't want to go through that again. They had a better plan this time but people already had a negative experience.

NFL rules here, as most US cities, with the exception of St. Louis. Royals craze disappeared as quick as it came. Fan support for Chiefs in this city has been strong and consistent since Marty.

Football reigns supreme in KC and has been that way for over 50 years. Currently the Royals are in the shitter. They have 3 years until they get back to the playoffs. Right now the Chiefs are about to win multiple titles.
